I’m a Souths fan but this excuse is stupid. These players have a week to travel and majority of it is on the east coast. Many other people travel even more for their work while these players are literally only going from Tamworth to Sydney (at most a 5 hour drive) to wait and fly to Perth (another 5 hours) almost a whole week later back to Sydney and from Sydney to cairns (3 hours) another week later. A few hours flying a week to play football as a job isn’t a big deal and it’s not the cause of their bad run like people claim. There are players who think they can do whatever they want to do (there’s one in particular who doesn’t do much when he’s on a field and I’m not talking about the halfback) and some of these players seem quite toxic when things aren’t going their way. The club should’ve kept Taaffe as their fullback cause it’s getting ridiculous now.

@@tigerwarsaw99 earlier is the season was a big improvement on last year with him running the ball and all that a lot more, but the since probably round 11 or so hasn’t been too great. That’s not just a cook thing, idk if any of the established top graders have really stood out since then though. Tbh though I don’t necessarily think that cook can always control how well he goes as he does need good service from his forwards play the balls which I don’t think he’s had a whole lot of that since round 10 either. What are your thoughts on his form?

gus has this pretty spot on, rabbits have only really beaten very poor sides and when they have beaten the better sides its when they have been very understrength and they struggle to win even then, definantly can not match it with the big sides like Brisbane and penrith

They beat penrith full strength. I just think they're in a bit of a form slump atm. Possibly due to the main 17 not having much gametime together over the past 3 months but yeah. All their form from early season has all but dissapeared.

I am a life long Souths tragic and I have been expecting this slump for two seasons. It's plain to see that the premiership window has closed after the Burgess era and the moving on of Wayne Bennett. Demetrious was largely untried as an NRL coach and quite simply he is failing. Their defence has gone downhill, Latrell always looks overweight, Murray is playing like a tired player that has been smashed in the middle of the park too much, Cook is not running the ball and giving the team any go forward momentum and the forwards for the most part are too small to monster other forward packs as this coach seems to expect them to. Personally, I think Demetriou should be sacked to stop the rot before we return to the bad old days fighting to fend off the wooden spoon at the wrong end of the table. I sure hope I am wrong but there will be no Premiership for us long suffering Bunnies fans for sometime, I am afraid. I don't like Phil Gould but his comments are not far off the mark.

Probably broncos but souths at their best has beaten penrith at their best this season. It just seems like an attitude problem from souths.
