Wonderfully done! I've not seen the singer sit in the orchestra for the entire Symphony, usually only for the third movement. No matter, she sang beautifully.

It's sorry that the singer is often behind the tempo and pitch is unstable. I love the recoding of Lucia POP with WDR. But I also love this recording of WDR. Great sound and harmony of orchestra.

Mir wäre es weit lieber, Mahler hätte seine Sinfonien rein instrumental gehalten. Dass er dies nicht getan hat, bedaure ich gerade bei seiner Vierten besonders und finde es immer sehr schade, wenn nach dem wundersamen, unglaublich tiefen langsamen Satz die „Singerei“ (mit ihrem merkwürdigen Text…!) anfängt.
