Here's one of my mom's gut feeling stories: So I was a little kid and I wanted to go on a bike ride with my siblings. She was going to let us but then she had a bad feeling about it, so she told us to go play in our backyard. 20 minutes later, my dad found out from his workplace where he worked as a police officer that someone had gotten kidnapped near where we lived. Maybe keeping us at home wouldn't have had any difference, but it definitely was safer.

In June of last year my best friend went into the hospital for Covid symptoms. When she got to the ER, the nurse made her lay down and started pushing on her stomach. She rushed tests to confirm her suspicions that my best friend had appendicitis. She was immediately taken into surgery and had her appendix removed. The doctor said that she would have died if it had ruptured. I thank God for that nurse.

For ONCE I finally have a story for one of these videos: So one night I felt very week and exhausted. I thought I was just being lazy and decided to just ignore it. But then I started having trouble walking and started thinking that something could be wrong. I later on was a bit hungry but then thought "Eh i'll eat tomorrow. I'm probably just tired." A minute later and I felt like I _really_ needed to eat even though I wasn't _that_ hungry. As I started eating a lot I went to bed and felt better. In the morning I told my sister and she told me that I must have been hypoglycemic and if I didn't eat, I could have fainted and possibly end up in the hospital. I know it's not as cool as a story as the others, but i'm just glad i'm alive.

I’m hypoglycemic too! It toned down a ton as I got older but we found out because when I was younger I’d wake up extremely sick and throwing up. This lasted about half the day as I’d lay on a little foldout couch by the tv with a bucket beside me and very hesitantly eating and drinking Gatorades. We think it pretty much disappeared because when I was younger I’d only eat what my parents gave me but now I just eat something/snack whenever I get hungry

Not really a gut feeling, but a weird story that happened to my brother: So my brother was home alone while me and the rest of my family were doing something I don't remember what we were gone for. When we got back home my brother told us that somebody had rung the doorbell, and obviously he didn't answer. And then he told us that the guy just sat in the driveway instead of leaving. But he wasn't there when we came back. Strange

There was a dog chasing a rat (whom I named Gary afterwards) it was a jack russel, and luckily it was friendly but I just kinda got in the way and was like “hello little doggy, hi! Who’s a good dog?” And the owner put it on a lead and I chucked a bit of my biscuit for the rat near where I just saw it and when I came back later the biscuit was gone so I assume it was the rat???

My gut feeling: I was at the mall with my mum and my 2 sisters and we were gonna get pedicures. I felt anxious and a feeling of doom washed over me. I wasn't to crazy about pedicures anyway so I just sid that I wanted to go home, and my mum asked if we should wait for my sisters pedicures to finish then go to a store in the mall but I said no and just asked to go home. My mum decided that she wouldn't get her pedicure either and ended up taking me home then bringing my sisters home when their pedicures finished. They took about another hour and if we were to go to any store after my sisters pedicures we would be there for at least 1/2-1 or more hours per store. And guess what. There was a shooting about an hour later at that mall. I saved our lives or at least saved us all from trauma. This doesn't stop me from feeling bad about bailing though lol, but I regret nothing. Me and my sisters got pedicures last week so yeah lol.

I’m glad you had this feeling and instinct. It’s still part of us to know and act quickly before being in life threatening situations! so glad you had the acknowledgment and brain and trusted yourself and didn’t end up getting pedicures. It must be very hard to hear about it after and finding out but it’s just a bad coincidence very horrible aswell and no one has to experience anything like that where innocent people go about their day even at a mall or a public nail salon it won’t matter it’s lives that matter and peoples health feelings and life.

Okay no, this is an actual gut feeling story that i've had. My mother was forcing me to move out of our home, she said i'll be transferring to a new school which is something that i've been wanting to do. But, i had a gut feeling that something awful would happen if i was transferred there (aka. not having any friends, getting bullied, or smth else like that). After getting into a huge argument, my mom decided to stop forcing me into doing it because she agreed on doing something else. After school, my grandmother told me that there was a shooting at the school i was about to be transferred at, i wasn't expecting that to happen but im so glad that i stayed. here's one of my stories: So I was sleeping at camp in my cabin with my friends a few years ago, and one of our friends went to the bathroom to shower and forgot to turn the shower off, after a while, I still heard the shower running and i went to turn it off since it was annoying me. Once I got there, I realised the drain was clogged and the bathroom was kinda flooding but I still went in to turn the shower off anyway and I realised that there was a small fire since my friend's towel was kinda burnt and when she brought it on the first day, it was not burnt at all. So we were glad that the water got the fire out

This happened to me recently, a new member of the family moved into the house, we will call her bethany, bethany use to have an electric stove and she never had a gas stove before, when she moved in she loved how big our kitchen was so she would love to cook, one day bethany turned on the stove and it didnt ignite properly and it was just spraying gas and we have a two story house and I could smell it upstairs, we had the fireplace on, it was a fire you had to start manually by yourself, and while the gas was filling up the house the fireplace was still on, if "Peter" didn't close the glass to the fireplace then all 7 of us in the house would have exploded and died.

Here's mine... It's kind of simple but it really scared me, so one of my cat's had 3 kittens, they were outdoor cats so they lived outside of our house instead of inside were they could catch rodents roaming around, anyway one day when I was studying some maths :D I had this really bad feeling hat something happened, I couldn't pinpoint what but I decided to check the kittens, I saw that my grandmother went outside and had accidentally closed the door on one of the kitten's foot, it wasn't meowing (Oh the kittens were roughy 2 months old by then) It was just there, I could see blood but the kitten wasn't meowing at all so I decided to tell her what happened and we took the lil guy to the vet and he was okay! I brought him back with his siblings and mother :) Edit: Oh right btw He's all grown up now a t h i c c healthy cat

Ok FINALLY I have a story: A few years back (2017) my family and I were on our way to Aspen,CO for winter break vacation. The night before the trip we went out for dinner with my cousins and other relatives since they were in town for a few days and were leaving the next day. Fast forward to the end of the night I feel super sluggish and full. I thought I had just eaten too much considering that I had eaten a crap ton of food. A few hours into the night as we get home I feel nauseous and very lethargic. I go up to my room and my gag reflex triggers. I thought I had eaten too much like I said before, then I threw up twice in one night. The next morning I feel super groggy and tired because I had been up all night vomiting. I was so pale that I looked like Elsa from Frozen. After breakfast I went upstairs to the bathroom because I needed to pee. The nauseating feeling comes back but this time it’s worse. The room begins to spin and turn a dark purple, and I scream “MOOOOOMMM” and as she described it (My mom) was like I was being tortured. After that I blacked out. My mom finds me fainted on my bathroom floor and calls 911 (this is the day we were supposed to fly out) and my dad, who found me, stuck an ice pack down the back of my shirt and I woke up with a start. My dad tells my mom to tell the EMT (on the phone) that I’m awake and “fine”. So, he (my dad) calls a friend of ours who happens to be a nurse and tells him to take me to the hospital STAT. The physicians told my dad that if he hadn’t taken me to the ER when he did I would not have made it. To this day 4 years later, I am healthy. Drink lots of water guys. But to make a long story short, I was severely dehydrated and needed a Liter of electrolytes by IV tube.

in 2021, this year what happened to me is evrytime i am on my period something happens to me... two times i have had this weird thing where everything turns white, my legs feel heacy, my hearing goes low and i feel dizzy andi start to sweat like crazy... it happened to me at school and i literally couldnt hear my freinds for like 10 mins because of this and i think its a sign to evry girl out there to DRINK WATER and EAT FOOD on ur period when u need to reguraly otherwise you could faint and blck out which u dont wnaat do u???!?!

Here is a gut feeling my mom had, but warning, the ending is still kinda sad. I was little and really excited to go to this event, forget what it was. I was super excited but since my parents are divorced I had to switch every other weekend between my mom and dad. That weekend happened to be my dad’s weekend. I was sad because I wanted to go to the church event. I begged my mother to let me go and work out something with my dad however she refused. I was pretty angry about it. That weekend was also my Nana’s (dad’s mom) birthday. So, at least I had something to look forward too if I didn’t go to the event because I would get to celebrate with her. I still can’t believe how selfish I was to miss it. My Nana was in like her 60’s or something around the time, maybe early 70’s but I’m pretty sure 60’s. She was pretty healthy but she had just came out of back surgery. She wasn’t acting very much like herself because of it probably due to medication. However, I still was happy to spend time with her and I spent the night at my Aunt’s house where she was staying. The next day she didn’t wake up. My Aunt called an ambulance and I was just absolutely confused. Later that day I found out she died. I was confused because she was getting better, but I guess she wasn’t. I’m still kinda unsure on what happened. But hey, if my mom didn’t make sure I went I would’ve missed spending one last day with her, and I’ll always be grateful for that. :D

Most people who are suck or have some sort of illmess tend to get better before they die, even with things like dementia. My pop had dementia and my uncle went to visit him the day before he died (he was in a nursing home and hour away), and my pop knew my uncles name, his relation to him, and was asking about the rest of our family. Its really sad because people always get excited because theyre doing better but in reality its just a sign that they arent going to be with us for a lot longer. (Again this is only sometimes, domt just assume that since soeone is getting better they are going to die)

My gut feeling story: once a few years ago, I had what my mom thought was a cold but I thought it was a numonia. My mom didn't want to take me to the doctor tho but I basically forced her saying that it wasn't a cold and it was at least better to be safe. Turns out I had a very bad numonia that if it had gotten to much worse could have been fatal in a week! (Which for the record was how long my mom thought to wait before taking me to the doctor. We went to the ER to get checked up immediately so If it was something bad I could get better sooner considering my doctor's office had a dumb "you have to have an appointment before getting seen" policy) anyways I recovered beautifully and didn't have any after affects from being the sick I'm glad I listened to my gut and forced my mom to take me to get seen!😁😁😁

On another note, I had this dream twice where someone in it died, the first time it was my grandpa, later that week we found out his kidney was failing (he’s in the process of doing dialysis every night) and the next time a couple weeks later I had the same dream but couldn’t tell who it was. I had a Pediatrician who missed the signs of kidney failure in me too! He said I was just making things up to get out of school! I was white as a sheet, had pain in my side, I couldn’t control my bladder and I had protein in my urine! If he done the correct bloodwork he would’ve found it sooner! I went into congestive heart failure at age 7 in 1979! I did a month of dialysis 2 months later and was given on my dad’s kidneys at age 8! I had 3 more transplants all perfect matches from deceased donors and even though none of the work anymore, I am still extremely grateful to the families who made that decision! Especially the parents of the 17 year old Maine boy who was killed in a sledding accident! I was the exact same age when I was got his perfect kidney! (I still had to take medications to keep it from rejecting but not as much!). My last transplant failed in 2002 and I can’t have anymore due to complications so I’m on hemodialysis (the kind with needles) and will be until I leave this world! I’ve had some pioneers in the field as my doctors over the years! Fast forward many years later and my eldest niece is having similar pain! Sister takes her to one ED and the doctor says, “Oh, I think someone is just trying to get out of school!” Didn’t even do a simple urine test! Sister remembers what happened with me and takes her daughter to another ED! That doctor does a urine test first thing and some bloodwork to check her kidneys because sister has mentioned me and what happened to me! Urine test comes back she has a UTI and kidney infection that it like 5 times the “normal” rate of infection! She is immediately placed on strong antibiotics and my sister is told if she hadn’t brought her in she may very well have damaged her kidneys! If my sister had listened to the first doctor my niece may very well have lost her kidney function!

My post was already long so I’m adding this funny story about my dad getting kicked out of that Pediatrician’s office! My dad got into an argument with him about him not doing anything for me! My dad shouted, “LOOK AT HER, SHE’S WHITE AS A SHEET!” The doctor said to dad, “Come back when you become a man!” My dad shot back, “I’ll come back when YOU become a doctor!” I witnessed this whole exchange! It happened a few months before my congestive heart failure happened! If that quack had correctly diagnosed me I might been able to hold onto my native kidneys longer but I’ll never know thanks to that moron!

Those nurses that really care about the patient are angels. One time I was hospitalized for diabetes and they start put me insulin. After lunch I went to the lobby near to ER to kill some time and walk, i start to feel sleepy and went back to the room and lay in bed. One nurse that was passing by saw me and asked me why I was in bed so I tell her I feel sleepy. Then she took me a test, turns out my sugar level drop fast and i didn't knew it. I don't know what would happen to me if they assume I was just sleeping.

I have a weird gut story. So once around January 2021, it was still Winter Break. I decide to go tobogganing with my two friends, who we'll call Sheila and Dave. Dave was like that one weird person in every friend group, and Sheila was 2 years younger, kinda like a little sister but not annoying. The hills are really steep, and they have slides sorta engraved in them. We decide to go on the last slide, which is my favorite because it has a bump. Right next to the last slide, it has these spiky bushes with burs in them. My toboggan is the one where you usually lay down on, but I decide to try something new. I told my friend Sheila that I was going to stand up on the toboggan and slide down that way. Sort of like surfing but on snow. Sheila told me not to, mainly because I had no experience surfing. I ignored her and marched to the top of the last slide and was about to surf down, but Sheila kept on shaking her head. I had a weird gut feeling that I shouldn't, so I finally decide not to at the same time Dave got up on the hill. He grabbed my toboggan and surfed the way down. Or, half the way down. Suddenly, the winds blew the toboggan to the left, right into the burs. The sticks injured his face while the burs stuck to his clothing, and he went home with his mom after that. Fortunately, he's all better now. If I hadn't listened to my gut feeling or Sheila, I would've got injured.

I got really injured at school on a Monday. My wrist was swelling up and in so much pain. On Thursday, I asked my mom to take me to the ER. We went, and they told us it was just a sprain. My gut told me to go back the next day. I went to a different one and sure enough, I had a severe fraction that broke nerves. And I dealt with the pain for 5 whole days! Thanks to that crappy doctor who told me I was fine..😒

Here's one of my gut stories: I was riding my bike in my neighborhood, like I normally do, and I had my right earbud in. I was riding with my right side to the street, but I could still hear. I heated a car and knew that it should have passed by me already. I took out my earbud just to check and see if I was hearing things. Then, I turn my head and this weird, old man is following me in his truck, looking at me. When I looked at him in the eyes, he sped down the street, so I turned the other way. Stay safe everyone! I was on a walk with my family and some friends, a group of four kids and four adults. We were heading up a bit of a hill we'd never been up before, at first it was all good just fields and a little woodland with s swing. But a little higher up we reached a path through and area where there were several cows, some of them still very young, and seemingly the mother on the path. We all wanted to explore further and at first we were going to carry on, but then unanimously decided that we'd rather not anger a mother cow and went quickly back down to the other side of the fence. We ended up just walking back I think, or maybe went up a different side of the hill. Maybe a week or 2 later, someone from my little sisters school year decides to take that path and apparently one of their parents was attacked by a cow. Don't know how serious it was, but I'm very glad we avoided that, especially as one member of our group was a fairly small child.

not my gut feeling, but my mums: when I was around 2 years old I would get a lot of ear infections and they would put me in a lot of pain meaning I would cry a lot, my mum thought it has happened again and took me to the doctor, the doctor said it was another infection but I wasn’t in any pain during it, it ended up spreading without me feeling the pain, my mum called an ambulance because we didn’t have the car and when we were on the way to the hospital I had a seizure for around 13 seconds, if my mum hadn’t realised I wasn’t crying like normal it probably could’ve been more serious than it should’ve been.

Here's one of my moms. So when an SaaS 19 she wanted to go to the city.(we live in Canada) My grandma said it was fine if she went but just to be careful. That morning it had snowed and it was icey. My mom was only 5 minutes away when she was about to drive onto the highway. It looked pretty icey but she and her friend still went. They had just turned into the road when they started to slide. My mom instantly knew it was unsafe and went back home. Later that evening 2 minutes away from where my mom was a truck slid off the road, luckily the girl inside was fine. Now she my sister started to drive my mom makes sure she knows this story..

2:28 That's why people, it's better to get a 2nd opinion. I have a health card before on my full time job. I tried it once and was faced with a reliever. He didn't take me seriously when I mentioned I was having chest pain. He told me to come back when I'm older. I told my family at home that I'll come back and haunt him if something happened to me LOL. Another time, I consulted a doctor when I have a back pain. The first consultation didn't took me seriously (this is also because I have a health card). The doctor didn't ask me questions; he just looked at the result of my X-ray and told me to come back after a few weeks to get it checked again. I came back with my Mom on the second consultation. This time, he was being nice and all. Asking me stuff all of a sudden like he actually cared. ADVICE: It's better to have someone with you during consultation so someone else could understand what's happening to you and your body.

When I was in high school I was walking home from school. I noticed a car with a New York license plate, I lived in New Jersey at the time. I lived in a small town that no one ever went to, so it was odd, but wouldn’t usually cause concern. I couldn’t even see the driver, but I had a really bad feeling. The car slowed down next to me and started rolling down the window to talk, and I started running. When I got home, I felt bad because I thought the person was probably just lost and wanted to ask for directions. The next day, I’m watching the news with my mom and I see a reported murder. They show the car and plate number and it’s the exact car and license plate I’d seen the day before. I could’ve been the one getting murdered that day.

This happened around November last year (it gets dark much earlier in the UK) and I was home alone with my son and I was cooking dinner but had the window of the kitchen open and usually I'm not really bothered by the sound of fireworks but it felt off and louder and kept feeling shaky but ignored it, after I finished cooking, I went to pray in my room (I'm Muslim, we pray five times a day) and still kept feeling anxious, after I finished praying I went to look at the window of my room and see that a house just across from me had smoke coming out of it and some guy ran from that house to another directly in front of ours and lots of people had gathered and there were police there too, turns out the house that had smoke coming out of it was petrol bombed

On taking a swig of tea shortly after I felt something in my mouth. I thought it was one of those pea-sized cones that fall from the tree in profusion at that time of year and was just going to swallow it. Fortunately I changed my mind and spat it out. It was a WASP!.

I had a gut feeling I didn’t listen to and my first cat died because of it 😢 I had this feeling that something was wrong, he didn’t show signs of pain or sickness or anything, but he seemed off, like his energy was different, and I was worried, but my parents didn’t believe me and didn’t wanted to pay for vet bills for nothing. Turns out, a few months later, that he was terminal stage kidney failure and we had to euthanized him after a week, if I tried harder to convinced my parents, we could have caught it early and maybe save him ;-; 🐱♥️😭 You know your pets best, if you suspect anything, go to the vet, it may be expensive, but it could save their lives.

One day when my son was 3, (Single father) I turned my back after giving him cut up hot dogs and apples sauce (his favorite meal back then) to finish cooking my supper. I noticed he was really quiet so, I turned the stove off and saw he wasn't at his Sponge Bob table. I found him in the bathroom choking on hotdogs and performed the Heimlich Maneuver. That got the hotdog slices out, (he tried to swallow 3 at once) I was so relieved I kept hugging him ans crying.

Here's mine, so I went to this corner shop that's just down the street I've been there before so it wasn't anything new. I had got everything walked out a car was pulling up to the curb so I walked further down the path so I wasn't too close to the car I go to put my foot on the road to cross but I stop and move back, the car that had stopped suddenly came at me really quickly and would've hit me if I didn't move back. It scared me so bad I got home told my mum then went to my room and broke down from the fear I was shaking all over, and all of my friends don't realise why I always yell at them from running across the road or going while cars are going by. I'm such a careful person when it comes to roads but some driver just do the unexpected

I had a gut feeling, incase you see this comment, imma say it, it isnt as crazy though. 2 years ago when i was in grade 5, we learnt a new science unit and i wasnt paying attention. Later that day, like after school, i had this gut feeling to revise the chapter. a short time later, about 2 days after, our teacher tested us on it because she felt like we didnt pay attention. Got a decent mark, above the class average (most people didnt focus on that unit so i think they got like 50% or something, cant recall it).
