I just don't believe it would, or even could ever happen. It's going to be an 18+ adaptation if they stay faithful to the manga and cut no arcs out. No studio's going to be really able to make money from that. It's just not really feasible, I think. The only way to ever experience the full story is going to be the Manga, sadly.

The manga in general goes over a lot more that the 97 anime and later adaptations couldn't show. The entire Blackswordsmen arc (a very small portion of it is shown in episode 1 but it's takes out key characters and other moments) Gut's adoptive mother dying from the plague, Guts being sold off to Donovan for a night (and get SA) at age 9 by his adoptive father Gambino, the king's love for his first wife who was Charlotte's mom which effectively made him love his daughter too, Skull Knight, etc. There's a whole set of fights that get skipped over in the coming episodes that happened in the anime. You guys have got to do a group review of the manga in the future.

I hope they at least react to the final memorial episodes or maybe the movie, this anime is fantastic but it skips over a few things, like the scene with casca and guts by the waterfall a bit later on was done wayyyyyy better in the movie, and ofc the specific part where this anime adaptation ends is VILE as fuck, can't imagine watching this in the 97s and it ending where it ends

No Silat or Wyald either, although I understand excluding the latter. But having no Skull Knight appear after Guts left the Band just feels dumb. The Anime is not bad by any means, but it is outdated and leaves out a LOT of interesting stuff. As you guys said, the manga is where it's at.

Guts' mistake is that he considered that Griffith wanted a friend, but since his definition implies that he is an equal Griffith is in fact unable to consider someone as has friends.

The anime skips a lot towards the end, i recently watched the memorial episodes and the movie where the end of golden age happens, and they did a few things better than the anime, like casca and guts, the skull knight and the ending. But both medias skip a lot of griffith torture and the king disgusting motives

Nah I feel like the series is definitely better without wyald, zodd introduces the supernatural elements of the series much more effectively. But the anime takes an L on skipping skull knight and Silat.
