I keep waiting for the day when Guy just makes the transition from old clips of his work, to always fresh and new KZbin content, a few times a week. It would be exciting stuff, and a decent extra income. 🤷♂️ 😉

@@bruncekic Come off a bike as quick as he was when he came off at IOM, then ask him to go have another crack. Guy makes his own rules, but the world would also sure miss him if he became worm food, or dust in the wind way too early.

Landing a tail wheel is tough at the best of times, but doing it (and doing it perfectly!) after just two hours training is really quite special. Proper!

Getting emotional watching that, what a wonderful instructor, great fun, calm, collective voice, it was exciting to watch, especially how the port pitch on take-off was quickly rectified. Loved every minite of it.

Anna Walker was my pilot when I flew in a WW2 Spitfire out of Biggin Hill. She was fantastic and a very able pilot. Guys table manners are shocking especially when speaking to Anna.

for all those wondering about his straps not being proper he still had a lap belt and the g forces from the loop will pin you in the seat, if they were just flying inverted yes he would of had issues and probably a huge scare.

Some years back, a TV show challenged a bloke, with many hours on home simulators, to land a PA28 (which is by far an easier airplane to land). A CFI gave him a briefing and showed a couple of landings. The fellow could not do it and the instructor had to take over. This is exceptional.

if you have the eye hand coordination and the fine muscle controls to survive the TT, any machine is manageable. Great performance. A lot of pilots with years of experience have a handfull with a taildragger.

Guy would be the ideal fighter pilot. He's got race proven reactions and courage, but he's also intelligent with a problem solving mindset

Guy does exactly what the average RAF Student pilot managed in the late 1930s. Shortly after they achieved this, they were stuck in a Hurricane or a Spitfire and thrown into action against Luftwaffe veterans who had taken part in the Spanish Civil War.

Considering he can manage the G's of a superbike going around a 37 mile long island at full pelt, I'm not surprised he was able to handle this farty plane! Joking aside, what a guy! ;)

If you can ride a 1000cc motorbike at 300kph around the Isle of Man, you have the balls and intellegence to fly a plane and pick it up quickly.
