Yh I'm Jamaican and I'm only 13 but not every Jamaican person can cook but ones who can cook can cook , like my late grandma and my mom dad who is a chef and aunt and many more .. note it runs in the family.

I know it seems weird to me too lol, but l guess we should not let the accent fool us. Many if not all would be of Jamaican descent ie their parents are Jamaican so accent or not they too grow up on Jamaican food straight ❤🇯🇲

I remember having oxtail once a long, long time ago. My uncle made a dish and it was so good too! After that I always thought that that was how you made it and then I saw THAT - Holy mackerel! That looks absolutely divine, even if I'm not much for beans in general! 🤤 🤤 🤤

We probably got it from yall. Most black Jamaicans ancestry goes right back to Ghana, despite all the mixes. That Ghana footprint is STRONG in Jamaican history!

I’ve had oxtail abroad that tasted as good, or some better, than any cook shop or restaurant in Jamaica. Don’t be fooled some overseas people can certainly cook. Cooking spectacular food comes from the heart, whichever country you live in.👩🏾‍🍳 🥘❤️💛💚

What I like about this video, people will know that Jamaica has citizens of every hue , in the days of slavery there was a large free colored population, the children of white planters and slaves In addition to creole Whites those of European ancestry who were born in the islan and after slavery ended , East Indians were brought to the islands. Their lovely jerk and curry comes from a fusions of the culture of their ancestors.

That oxtail is the americanized preparation. Def, not the authentic way at home. Broad Beans not Butter. Ginger, Pimento for the rice and Specifically a green pepper not Yellow for the rice.
