Fed a chipmunk in my backyard for 9 years (they live 2 years on average in the wild on their own). I was shocked he lived so long (though pleased). He was friendliest little thing, would visit to hang out even when I wasn't offering food. Was lucky, my backyard seldom had other predator animals in it and little mookie just lived for 9 years in my one huge tree in the back. He never had to wander off my property for food so never got attacked by animals and lived a long full life. He died peacefully of old age in my tree (found him curled up in his hole, his heart just stopped one day), I gave him a nice little burial at the base of it. He was a great little friend and surprisingly intelligent.

Chipmunks are not greedy. They just like to compliment your good taste in food. They also, don't want to hurt your feelings, by not eating EVERYTHING. yum! 😋 😁

What a dream! I have some in my yard that I feed, but not from my hand. We aren’t there yet. Not sure if we ever will be, but I love them. They are so adorable!

If you enjoyed this video, I know you'll enjoy Choo Choo's Story. Just precious. Multi generational chipmunks families, and birds, have fallen in love with this couple. They have created the cutest little family. Through years of feeding and caring for these fur babies this couple has become Mom and Dad/ Grandma and Grandpa to all these woodland creatures. If you need a pick me up, something to warm the heart, this is the place.

well, I can imagine it has lots of properties hiding on each spot, i.e. shorter/longer tail, thinner/thicker tail, darker/lighter fur pattern, etc... 🤣🤣🤣
