I think so too! Charlie ( I think he is the breed Newfoundland ) needs a furbaby friend, and would make a very good foster dad, for orphaned baby animals that needed comfort, a warm body to nuzzle into, like this little chipmunk did, just like a real momma animal would do. I've seen many rescue groups have a nurturing dog care for the smaller orphans , until they got a little bigger and stronger, then gently play with them even outside until they are able to make it in the rescue on their own. These are very touching to watch too, except the endings are happy. Charlie could possibly be tested to be a foster dad doggie! His deep feelings over his orphan friend's passing touched me deeply too!😥😊😊🐶🐿️💜💜💜💙💙💙🙏🙏🌺🌺🌺

Dogs who have had a calm and loving family generally are not aggressive towards smaller creatures. My friend had a pet mouse and a gold retriever, no issues. The mouse would ride on the dog at times. Sadly not always the case. My family is calm and while my dog is now (Due to being 13) She wasn't always. When she was not calm we had degus, and my dog would sit by the cage, hoping that she could eat them. Whenever we took them out to clean the cage or just pay, my dog was there ready to snack on them if she could. Each of the degus passed (We had 4) Penny, Oreo, Twipper and Maria. Penny was the only male, and died early on. (was the most hyper and hated being held, ended up being so calm that it wanted to be held.) Oreo was very calm, and lost a foot from the real (Sinning wheel broke her foot and she started eating the dead flesh, eventually it was just a skeletal foot sticking out, And she eventually broke that off. We had gotten twipper to keep her company. Oreo passed around the age of 5. Twipper was about 3 when we got Maria. (Who was my sister's professor's degu and about the same age as twipper) He figured i was best to let them have companionship. They both eventually passed. Around the same time.

"Maybe Kip wasn't mean to be long for the world, but he was certainly a gift to us and to Charlie." I couldn't stop the tears from flowing out at this moment. I had a puppy and she passed away too early, age of 9. It's been a few years, and I feel like I had a happy dream when I think about the moment we spent together. Clips of Kip after the doll Bring out the feeling again. Rest in peace both Dare and Kip.

It's amazing how much emotion animals actually feel. Charlie is an old soul and a very good dog and I think kip saw that too and felt comfortable and loved with Charlie and his family. Be strong Charlie. RIP KIP 🙏 🕊 ☮ ☹️ 😔 🥲 animals are amazing 👏
@baronharkonnen12172 жыл бұрын
I agree. I am constantly amazed and disappointed when people treat animals like "animals." Animals are very smart and have empathy. This is from Popular Mechanics not long ago: "Research shows that crows and other corvids (a family of birds that includes ravens and magpies) “know what they know and can ponder the content of their own minds,” according to a 2020 study in STAT. This is considered a cornerstone of self-awareness and shared by just a handful of animal species besides humans."

PS: take Charlie to your nearest animal shelter and let him pick out his own little kitten. Charlie has so much love to give and such a need to take care of a little creature that it breaks my heart to see him unfulfilled. He is one of the sweetest dog I’ve ever seen. You are lucky to have each other. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Good idea, but note that they had another dog like Charlie of the same size, so there is at least one more 4-legged family member to comfort Charlie. Sometimes in Dodo videos we don't get to see other pets, only the one(s) the video wants to focus on.

what a beautiful story about Kip and Charlie. In the past, I have owned ferrets while also owning dogs. It is amazing how curious, compassionate and playful the dogs were with the ferrets. They would play together and sleep together. Our "pets" are way more intelligent than they are given credit for.

Burrito was with us only for four days, but it changed our life. I totally agree, in it's last days, it found comfort in my and my daughter's palm, left us forever peacefully. Leaving behind so many innocent, loving , emotional memories.
