My problem is that my school started us on spanish around age 6. But the classes only taught what i refer to as "emergency spanish" as in no verbs besides a few basic phrases and a lot of vocab (for emergency use only). We didn't start to get serious with it until high school and i continued classes into college. So i have been "speaking" spanish my whole life so my accent is pretty good but i really struggle with grammar in the moment (if i am practicing talking by myself or writing it is a lot better) and i know almost no slang. So its a weird combo of almost flawless accent and broken spanish. I really have no idea how "fluent" i am because i think whenever people tell me that my spanish is great they are saying great for a gringa and i want to know how good my spanish is overall. These videos inspired me to use omegle to improve my spanish and i built a snowman for some Columbians.

For example, many french Canadians from Québec (including myself) can speak english with a perfect Canadian/American english accent, even though I only learned english at school or while playing videogames/watching movies. Russian grammar is basically the same but with cases, plus there aren't any articles which is different from Spanish.
