Every person comes in at different times of the day. We help the bar owner whenever she needs help. Refilling the cooler etc or if it is something heavy, she always repays with a round even though she doesn’t have to, but it is her way to say thank you for the help. If she needs to leave for 5 min she always tells us to take care of the bar until she gets back, which we then do. We know how to operate the cashier. I love that little place. Like we had a post office in the bar area, so people would check their mail and hang out for a while. We had cups instead of chips, but you'd have someone come in with a stash of them they saved up and drinks would go to every which part of the bar. We had smoking in our bar, so the smoke break thing didn't happen...much. Great video. Makes me look back at the good 'ol days before I went into management.

I was basically raised in a bar by my parents in Colorado, and *man* this is accurate. Even with them talking (via yelling) at the guy a couple tables away. Only thing thats missing is when there are a lot of regulars and another regular walks in, big shouts of "HEY! THERE THEY ARE!" and what not

Back in the day when I was a waitress, my brain was completely ingrained where all the beverage areas were. When I left for greener pastures I'd go back with family to eat. I'd have the entire table served drinks, took the salad/appetizer orders, be hunting in the dry storage for those flipping club crackers that everyone wanted before I remembered I didn't work there anymore. It's been over two decades and anytime someone says they want something at a restaurant, I automatically get up. 🤣🤣🤣

Years ago went camping near a small tourist town in SW MN, we skipped the tourist bar and went to the town bar for drinks. A local at the bar kind of side-eyed us and asked, "Who's boy are you?" trying to figure out how we fit in. The answer was that we were camping on farm land and the farmer was a friend of the local brother in law. That opened everything up for us, instant friends to everyone in the bar.

Can confirm, lived in the Midwest for 5 years. Although when someone asks if you have a nipple on your beer, you must drink your beer until you have less than the other guy. Then call him out for slacking. Also you can get blackout of drunk and forget to pay the tab, but bartenders don't sweat because they'll know you'll be back soon. 😉

I'm 🍁 🍁 and spent time in southern Argentina on an island called Teirra Del Fuego in a small town called Rio Grande. This was the scene almost to the T; bartender, servers would call it a night and myself and a few local would just keep tab on what we drank and pay the next day. The pub was in a small cosy Inn, the front desk attendant would simply lock up after we left. Great people, great times, 2009-2010. Place; Posada De Los Sauces.
