A couple of errors I would like to note: 1) When addressing the reporting number, it is properly: GVRX 2248; GVRR is the abbreviation for the name of the Railroad, but as it is not a common carrier, any reporting mark is GVRX; 2) In the last description bubble 2248 is misrepresented as a 2-8-0, everywhere else it is the correct 4-6-0; 3) 2199, the GP7u is NOT equipped to deliver Head End Power (HEP), the coaches have their own generators for electricity which also operates the a/c - that being said, the coaches are equipped with HEP hookups so that they don’t have to have all of the generators on at the same time and to use shoreline connections to save fuel when not on a run and then also the new (to GVR) FL9’s have HEP equipped and do deliver power through the hookups.

I know commented on your other video but I must say it again, WONDERFUL video of 2248. This locomotive has a special place in my heart from going down there every weekend to help fire her up.

Not really, they've just gotten to know me and let me hang around in the mornings. I do plan on volunteering when I'm at the age where I can though.

Is the steam locomotive Puffy going to return?
@TrinityRailProductions4 жыл бұрын
No one I've talked to seems to have a clear answer to that. They started on the rebuild several years ago but things have been off and on since then and Puffy's return has been uncertain for quite a while now.

They are working on it. They have a completely new boiler on property, but as they have to keep their regular operations going to make money, they can’t devote enough time to quickly rebuild 2248. Also, they have had issues getting and retaining knowledgable steam experts. (That’s why they have busted the cylinder heads TWICE on 2248 - a VERY EXPENSIVE and DANGEROUS mistake - and the FRA cracked down hard on the 1472 inspection).
