Just started this game a few weeks ago and i already have nearly all mounts. Skyscale took me around 6 days to get but if i had some help i could've easily gotten it in 2. For any new players reading this i definitely recommend farming the skyscale first it makes the game feel so much better

Hi mate, thanks for the comment. The short answer to your question is YES. You will need Path of Fire expansion to be able to unlock the mounts. If you are not in a rush you can wait for sale and get both HoT and PoF for more or less 15$. And one more advice, if you are really new to the game, first try it, max lvl a character, finish the free to play story and so on, and if the game appeal to you then invest in the expansion pack. Hello @Stan-KO , I have a couple of questions: - I haven't bought any expansions. I want to buy one, only for the mount. Which expansion would you recommend? I am also into world completion so I thought the Griffin would be a very good mount. I also saw the Siege Turtle but it seems its a bit difficult to get? Which one would you recommend? - What do the masteries do for the mounts? Do I have to do them to use the mounts effectively or are they just extras? Are they difficult to do? - I'm still quite new to the game (started a week ago and I'm lvl 80 now lol), but it seems that Exotic gear is not really good enough? Do you have any tips for gear? People say I should just craft ascended but it seems really long grind and difficult steps. Thank you and like your videos :D:D:D

Hi @Argo, first of all thanks for the comment and I'm really sorry I couldn't respond right away, it was a crazy week for me. Ok, expansions, if you buy Path of Fire you will also get Heart of Thorns, if you are not in a rush just wait for a discount and you can get them for around 15$. For now you don't need the last expansion End of Dragons, unless you have a lot of free time and you can go through all the content really fast. Mount, in the beginning you need only 2 of them, raptor and springer, the first one you will get directly after purchasing PoF expansion, for the second you will have to go through the content of PoF, like I demonstrated in the video above. The masteries are important, because they improve the mount's skills and abilities, sometimes the progression in PoF is locked behind the masteries, but not extremely hard to get, again you need PoF. WvW mount, for now there is only one mount that can be used in wvw and that is the Warclaw, this one is pretty easy to get, just follow the instructions in my video. The rest of the mounts CANNOT BE USED IN WVW. Gear, exotic is ok, just check for build on inet, keep in mind that the game can be separated on 4 components, pve, pvp, wvw, instance based (dungeons, fractals, raids), so a pve build will not work so well in wvw or pvp, build that do high dps in in raids will not work well in pve, pvp and so on. If you want to get ascended gear fast you should try fractals, they are really fun and also you will make a good amount of gold from them. For this content you will need a good build that fulfils a certain role (healer, support, dps) to help the party to clear the fractal. Ok, I think that's the longest response I wrote in my life 🙂. Did they nerf the raptors jump or something? Im new and have it but it cant jump even half that far. Ive tried pressing and holding both v and spacebar and never gotten a launch like that

no, the raptor is not nerfed. the reason why you see other raptors having a longer jump is a POF mastery called "Canyon Jumping". Hope that info helps and don't worry there is nothing wrong with your raptor 😃

Hi mate, as far as I know no, you don`t need the other mouts to unlock skyscale.But, my advice is to unlock 1st springer, skimmer and jackal, those are easy to get. Unlocking skyscale is really long and time consuming journey. Thanks for the sub and good luck :)

do the hearts only appear if you progress through the PoF questline? I just bought the expansion and immediately went down south for the skimmer but there were no heart quests there.

It is possible to reach this area through many other means, nevertheless, the required heart Use a skimmer to help with training around the ranch will not show up until you have trained the Canyon Jumping mastery."

Hi mate, first thanks for the comment. Don`t worry so much about the gold making, later on it`s easier. Try fractals, you can make pretty good gold income from them, you can also push to Icebrood saga to unlock the strike missions, also nice and easy income. The last tip is that in reality you just need raptor and springer, both with mastery maxed out. Just take it slow and enjoy the game. Good luck :)

the short answer is NO, but like I said many times before, you don't need a mount to enjoy the base game. The mount system came to GW2 in 2017 with the third exp. so that`s make 5 years without mounts and we still enjoyed the game like we do now :)

Yes you can, but you will need the POF expansion and you will not get all the mounts at once. If you are a new player and you have POF expa. you will get a raptor at lvl 10 on a single character, if I remember correct. Hope that short info helps. hi , I assume that you are on free to play version of GW2. Unfortunately to get mount in you need the 2nd expansion. The moment you purchase it and you reach lvl 10 you will get account wide access to basic raptor mount. If they are on sale, you can get the first 2 expansions for around 15€/$. This is what is not covered in the video everything else is explained. Can I visit the areas you mentioned just by running there through map or I have to complete the storyline to get other mounts than raptor. Sorry mate, had something urgent, here is the replay. You cant reach the POF zone just by "walking" but you can port to friend that in Crystal Oasis zone, that is the first POF map, using item called "Teleport to Friend" and then just unlock some of the waypoints there :) You feel me?!? Or you can also use item called "Expansion Waypoint Unlock Package" the name say everything. Now do I recommend it, to a new player with character lvl12?!? Big NO NO :) Reasons: under level, under gear, it will ruin the chronology of the story etc, etc. The base game and the 1st expansion, HoT were designed to be played without mounts. The mounts were included to the game with the 2nd expansion PoF in 2017. My advice is take it slow, enjoy the game, learn the basic mechanics and try the different game modes, but after reach lvl 80 :) OMG a wrote again a huge replay, that because GW2 is huge game and there is a lot going on in it🙃 lastly consider joining my discord, you can find a link to it in the description of the video. Seems like this guide is outdated already. So I was trying to get the Springer, and the event isn't there. And when I "talked" to the Spingers, it says that I need to master Raptor first, which meant I need to finish that first mission for Path of Fire. I'll check tomorrow if I can already get the Springer after unlocking the first mastery for the Raptor, maybe that's enough to get the Springer

Are you ready? :) Why do you think the order the mounts are ordered this way in my guide? :) Normally you need raptor with Canyon Jumping mastery to get to the the Highjump Ranch. It is possible to reach this area through many other means; nevertheless, the required heart Help out around Highjump Ranch will not show up until you have trained the Canyon Jumping mastery. Completing the Renown Heart allows you to unlock the mount. Now you know what you did wrong :) Dont be lazy go get the raptor, the work on the Canyon Jumping mastery. @@Stan-KO oh, you seem to not know how things work currently huh? So I just created my account a few weeks ago, and you might be surprised about this, the game gave me the Raptor on day one. I didn't have to do that lvl 80 quest you mentioned. IIRC, I just need to finish a quest in the starting town and I already got the Raptor. Some good samaritan helped me cross the canyon jump when they were helping me get the hero points on that area. I'm not sure if that affected the Springer quest. I guess I can't cheese my way to get the mount. But it seems that someone needs the Path of Fire expansion to level up your Raptor mastery, which is a shame. I guess the devs just wanted to be generous and gave the Raptor for free now and just made it so that, if they really wanted to, the players can pay for the expansion to unlock the masteries

Hi mate, I think every free2play game is somehow pay gated. Also the mounts was one of key futures of the 2rd expansion PoF, before that there were no mounts in GW2. hi@@Delarunee, this is very good question and really made me wonder. So, I did some research and its true, the springer, skimmer and the jackal they need lvl 80 character. Now the funny part is that rest of the mounts don't have this requirement. Probably the logic behind is that leveling in gw2 is pretty easy and fast, and if work on skyscale or griffin you would be lvl 80 anyway. 🙂🙂✌👍

Hi mate, is good if you have at least skimmer and springer. The skimmer will negated the lighting strikes from the Fury of the Brand. Springer will help you clime and navigate true the mountain area. ADVICE get first 3 mounts,they are easy to get, collect 250g and after that start working on griffin. Aaaaa,also you have to completing the Path of Fire storyline. Good luck :)

@@beanzy1891 thanks for the sub I really appreciate it and for the great idiea for video ""Gw2 gold making for beginners" , its already in my long to do list :) Ok I will try to keep this short: 1st daily log in event if you don't play you get daily reward, especially the mystic coins, you can receive 20 through every 28 day login rewards cycle, you will also get some mats. Sell or keep up to you. 2nd. do your your dailies, easy to 2 gold. 3rd. check in google the Time gated recipes liket Heat Stone for example, if you can craft it those items sell very well on the TP [ btw this how I make my gold when I need it] 4th. do Fractals, they are really fun and rewarding 5th. do the World boss events and also Silverwastes map events are really god for new players. Try these for now :)

You need springer, skimmer and raptor. You don't need the jackal, although you can use it if you have it.

Hi @krisiraw95. Thanks for the comment, now download the gw2 addon manager from github.com/gw2-addon-loader/GW2-Addon-Manager/releases , it a zip file so you will have to extract it on you pc. Open it and form the menu chose Gw2 radial, then install. Hi mate, first of all thanks for the comment,, I really appreciate it. Then from your words I can make the conclusion that you are new player. If so and if you didn't finish the core game story there is no need to rush through POF expansion just to get flying mount. Take it slow, play the main story, finish the HoT exp., tjere you will unlock gliding another way to fly in the GW2. And yes the new players dont make a lot of gold early on but that changes later on. Good luck and enjoy the game, dont rush it ☺️☺️

I know there has to be a way to make money out of a game for developers but like this? It is kind of not nice... forcing f2p players to suffer without mounts. Either pay keep walking and spamming your boring skills for about like half hour to reach your destination isn't nice. You can't compare maxed out raptor to normal walking with swiftness or anything.

are you still f2p? because if you want to enjoy f2p only pvp will give you the sense of balance in this game. you can pvp at lvl 1 and your level is adjusted to max at 80. however, if you go pve, sadly you need all expansions to unlock these mounts.

That's stupid reasoning. Fyi it's a 1 time purchase only unlike subscription based mmos. The game doesn't have advertisements and developers need money to improve the game and pay hosting servers. There's also a free time trial raptor after reaching level 10.

you missed important information, unless your other mounts are lvl'ed up you won't get the Jackle. you did not point out ANY use full INFORMATION BASIC GUIDE at best. No information on Mastery points or lvl'n up each mount BASIC information #Clickbate

ok, don't see how 15 min long video that took hours and hours to be made, that contain ton of useful information and already helped so many people is a CLICKBAIT. Then also ask yourself the questions: 1. Why the video was build like that... 1 Rator. 2 Springer 3 Skimmer ...?!?! :) 2. What`s is the name of the video? Is it "How to get mastery points fo mounts" or is " How to get the mounts"...!?!? Also, this guide, like most guides on my channel, was build to provide direction for the players not to solve every little problem that they may encounter. This is a good video for "Where to find the mounts" but i have to agree with @gavwyatt5314. I'm a new player so i jumped in game did the main quest till the part with the springer and found out I have to lvl raptor's mastery to get across the jump. How am I to know that from your video as a new player? Cause it says, " For all the new players looking for mount, this easy-to-follow guide will help you to unlock fast every mount in Guild Wars 2". and again, it's not a bad video and no one is trying to be a hater on it, just need a tiny bit more info for very new players like me to understand. so as of right now im running around jumping on raptor and looking for mastery points so i can make the jump. AND AGAIN still a good video.

i bought the latest dlc , game still says that i need a dlc to use multiple things as mounts blabla , on my F2P account i have a mount lol , and on my account with latest dlc i have not .. makes no sense at all for me , same for masteries it says i need to upgrade and buy a dlc but i have done that... weird game , looks so good but yeahhh i dont get it. if someone knows tell me plz :p

Hi mate, yeah I know gw2 can be a bit wierd. To get the mounts from the video you need Path of Fire expansión. With End of dragons you can get only the siege turtle. Hope that helps, gl.
