[GW2 WvW] June 6th Rewards Patch -- Mistwalker Infusion Preview and Rewards Discussion

-- Patch day is upon us once again, but this time we're mostly focused on loot and rewards. Most notably, the introduction of a new WvW-specific infusion, the Mistwalker Infusion, but also a surprising amount of changes to the gamemode overall. In this video, we cover some of those changes, and how they look like they will affect things going forwards.

From a creation standpoint, update videos are kind of frustrating. The algorithm rewards people who get there first, so you have to rush things more than you'd like in order to get it out the door and claim that sweet, sweet SEO. There's some things I'm not happy with in this video from an editing standpoint, but I wanted to make sure I had it out relatively fast, so that people could take a look at some of the new stuff going on. Unfortunate tradeoffs, but what can you do.

Thanks! I don't know how much I really emphasized it in the video, but this is a great patch. The gamemode feels so much nicer to play now, Anet did a really good job here.

Thanks for covering this! So it looks like the Hero Points are what we need to search for with regards to the collection/exploration?

Yep. You just talk to Dugan, get the achievement unlocked, and then visit a few different hero points. The only one that's a little tricky is the one in EBG lord's room, but you don't need to finish the entire channel of it to get credit. Just selecting the dialog is enough. I managed to get mine done in the middle of a bunch of cloud. :)

Great! SMC was the first I looked for, and I had no idea what the stone was that the text mentioned. Think I was wandering around the fountains that are inner courtyard. Thanks again--

With the hide ally visual effects, you have to reload the map for it to get the full effect. I seen some infusions still showing on the preview and when reloading the map it hides everything.

Interesting! I was testing it a bit last night on stream, and did do a full map change, but I haven't looked at the footage too closely yet.
