Growing up I always safely assumed GWAR was awesome, but after finally going into their music, not only are their live shows insane and entertaining and they have the best interviews/ commentary, they are all top notch musicians and write great songs! Licksore, Slaughterama, Salaminizer, Krosstika to name a few! All Hail GWAR !!!

80s Art students from Richmond VA . One guy wanted to make a movie about aliens coming to earth and starting a band and he recruited some other art students in a band named death piggy . One night they played a show in the movie costumes and gwar was born . I think immortal corruptor is their best song . someone else suggested gor-gor which is also a great song . both have cool videos too . There's also a gwar song called the Insidious soliloquy of Mr. Dr. Professor Skulhedface that's basically their bohemian rhapsody
