Nearly two years after the deoccupation, there is still no water supply in Dovhenke, which is in the Kharkiv region. Currently, around 15 people live there regularly.
Residents are forced to clear their properties of mines since the authorities are not yet able to handle it. As a result, several locals have been injured in mines over the past year.
In Dovhenke, we spoke with Iryna and Ludmyla, about whom we have made reports over the past two years. In the video, they discuss how their lives have changed over this time and why they do not want to leave despite the village's ongoing mine contamination.
