I love that this song is about the relationship ending between Gwen and the one of her other band mates ( sorry dude I forgot your name ), and Blake is so comfortable with her he isn’t settled with any baggage. I know it was the 90’s so it was 100 years ago now, but they really loved each other and watching No Doubt do this song together was heartbreaking. 💔 Now it’s just a kickass song, but still. Blake is definitely a winner and I think Gwen chose amazingly when she fell for him. 💜💞

Tony Kanal, I saw her sind this song to him on stage on the Tragic Kingdom tour. And she'd straight up walk over to him and belt it out full of emotion. Well, at least it seemed so, a worthy performance indeed since we found out later she'd been getting banged by the guy from Bush for a year or so after they hooked up in secret, and managed to keep it quiet for quite awhile and later they got married. But man when she was on stage singing her heart out to tony you felt like they just broke up the night before and she was ripping it all out and bleeding all over the stage right there.

I have a friend who was a lifeguard with Gwen when they were in High school. I asked if she was cool, he said she was the absolute best with a heart of gold. The sweetest person who was really great with the young kids at the pool. She would tell him,”hey, do you want to come to a party? My band is playing.” My friend also ended up famous as an actor. Ten years later they were both on the same TV show together and she walk in my friends dressing room like,”hey, this is so crazy. We’re both on a TV show together. Isn’t this crazy?”

I'll be honest. I judged this lady prior to getting with Blake as voice purely done in studio, and not a good person. I'm ashamed to say sadly we get these images of people. I now love her personality, and think she's truly a kind, very talented musician. Gwen, highly unlikely you'll read this, but I'm sorry. I understand and I may have done the same thing. I thought Gwen was very superficial and I wasn’t that crazy about her voice but I went back and watched her old performances with No Doubt and a few interviews and I think I misjudged her. You don’t know what goes on behind closed doors but she appears to be a nice woman and onstage she was an excellent front woman . I felt bad for saying negative things about her. Anyway...
