Even better news is that GWH have the A model on the way ! I now have a use for the Caracal decals representing the 4 squadrons of the 81st TFW at Bentwaters/Woodbridge.😊

Did you forget the recent (2022) 1/48 Academy A-10C Flying Tigers kit then? That one is pretty nice, with and *less than half the price of this one.* Oh, you do finally mention it in the sign off piece... OK? for £35, and barring the nose weight, & better fans, as detailed as this one, with raised rivets, slide moulded one piece Fuselage fwd & rear & engine pod parts, not to mention extremely detailed pylons, including the bottom faces. What's not to like? Revell Price GWH detail... Also Flying tigers anniversary markings as well as shark mouth... PS the refuelling pipe is visible from below when the gear is down.

The Academy is also available as 2 boxings by Hobby 2000

Agree mate. Although this looks like a great kit. It costs about £80. The Academy version only cost me £33. So, I will be sticking with that one.

I built the model in question (not entirely) and I think it is the best in terms of precision and ease of assembly . I think it is the best model of A10 and that GWH is at Tamiya level

It does indeed have the bolts on the starboard side where the old sensor pod used to hang. Don't appear to be as "proud" IRL though.
