Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge, I have used the 45º cut only for the reason of not having a cutting table and when doing it with a saw it is easier for me to mark and cut that way but now that I have seen your video I understand that this Tilt provides better movement. A big hug from Buenos Aires!

many thanks for this video. I went through the same thinking process and found out that 45 degrees is just fine and make it much easier to cut several slots at the same time. I made a gig to hold 4 hubs to cut at 45 degrees that way I can cut both side and 2 sets of hubs in one shot I am limited by the noise I make using the table saw so constraints make people smarter to find solutions I guess. Another test interesting to do is to alternate the way the blades are installed curved side of the wing inside or outside? what works better, they both work .

Thank you for letting us in on the secret of the hubs, helping others to uderstand what we need to do to get our creations to fly properly. You are a genius 🧞♂️😊 Hopefully your knowledge will be passed on to many others in the future. I will pop down to my workshop now to correct the two hubs i have just finished.

Just starting, What are you using to make your wings from?
@gwheyduke3 жыл бұрын
Just cut from a piece of pine or fir two by four, about 3/16 inch thick.

There is some wind shadow that occurs from the upwind blade, they will likely never spin equally.you should have a replaceable shoulder to set the block against.

That is very interesting, thank you for your comments.
