GWR Castle Class HST Class 43 43040 & 43172 takes on a mission to Great Yarmouth | 4th October 2023

As the end is nigh for the GWR Castle Class HST sets, which are to be removed from service in 2024.
On the 4th of October 2023 one HST set would move from Bristol's St Philips Marsh Depot to Great Yarmouth with it possibly heading to Mexico in the near future (where previous HST's have already gone to).
Powercars Class 43 43040 and 43172 are seen operating 5Q25 13:32 St Philips Mrsh H S T D to Yarmouth C.H.S. passing Attleborough at around 7pm with a small two tone (which I obviously got jumpscared by!). This would prove to be a cross country move (not the company) for the HST's despite it now being impossible to see a long distant HST move since the CrossCountry (the company) HST's now being out of service.
This also ran on a Strike Day meaning that there was little to none traffic, so the move operated to a max of 161 minutes early! This also would be the second move on the Breckland Line with the RHTT being the other which also ran early.
