Here I specifically mean reproduction, that slime are fully asexual reproduced--they are formed by high concentration of magicules. And the concept of gender, and therefore, agender, is never applied to full asexual species, such as bacteria. I specify fully because some species can produce both sexually and asexually. Like how the women love him clearly because he was a man in his previous life, and the men clearly revere and respect him. But since he is genderless you could also have interpreted the men as loving him, and the women as just really best friends.

Plus it's nice to hear you talk about some Chinese manufacturers like Astrum Designs, since they can't be catalogued on MFC I'm always curious how people feel about them. Have you have any opinions on Luminous Box's stuff? I have both their Lucilla Succubus and Pelecanus and they are STUNNING. I love Fruits Basket and I also quite like Yuki, but I definitely won’t pre-order his Nendo. Two of his face plates are almost identical and if they also mess up the painting, then nope. I really want to have Kyo, but I don’t want to pay so much money for a messy figure. I will just hope that I get their scale figures one day. ☺️

Don’t you worry Gwyn, I’m right with you on Fruits Basket! Kyo is my absolute favorite character, Yuki is just meh whatever. I was willing to pick both nendo’s up even though it’s Toytec because it’s one of the few pieces of Fruits Basket merch we’ll ever get, but when I saw the price…nah ah. Toytec must be on something if they think they can charge that much. I’ll probably only get Kyo, but I’m so mad and endlessly disappointed. Also, what I AM very excited about is the Rei! She was an instant pre-order for me as well and I can’t wait to get her. She looks stunning!

Honestly I’m at the point where the prices are putting me off, especially when very few figures have given me the WOW factor lately that make me super excited. I preordered the Astrum Design one on taobao as she’s about 17-18k yen equivalent in there as I love her design and she’d likely work well with some other figures I have, but I’ve definitely not been ordering many compared to how much I used to months ago. I have a few on my wishlist I really hope I’ll be able to get, but with my space almost filled up now that’s it. I think the one recently that was most upsetting for me was Belial from GrabBlue fantasy - mostly because I am actually almost willing to pay the price but trying to get him as he’s an event exclusive is awful 😭

The Chainsaw Man figures that went up for pre-order recently got me in a bit of a tizzy. No real surprise from Estream. Their Denji is as amazing looking as it is sickeningly expensive. However, I laughed out loud seeing what FuRyu came out with. 35k yen for a 1/7 scale! They are 1000% taking advantage of the fact that this is the first scale of Power on the market. And it's nowhere near worth that price. Maybe half that to be honest. As much as I like Pochita, that full size figure is absurd. On all fronts.

It might be that they don't think they'll sell a lot of Rimuru bunnies and are increasing the price per unit accordingly. I mean when you sell stuff, you either make your money with a lot of sales at a lower margin, or a smaller number at a much higher margin.

Do you have any thoughts on the pricing of the new Estream Miku and the 1/4 Furyu Nanachi? Those are some of of not THE most egregious pricings I've ever seen and I'm worried it'll only get worse from here... But yeah, I've been ordering waaaayyy less figures lately because I really just cannot afford it. Chinese figures had really good pricing for a while but now even their prices are getting crazy. I'll probably be priced out of the hobby soon but it is what it is I suppose.

The figure is Albedo Bikini Version 1/7 scale and retailed for around $620-670 USD (funnily enough in AUD that's even worse then the $800 I originally thought it was and actually closer to $1000 for us so yiiiikes) Apparently it was received pretty poorly by a lot of ppl too bc it looked so different to it's prototype, to which estream told buyers to just fix any issues themselves in a tweet. Never a good sign imo, gives off major early B'full vibes :/

Persona 5 is hands down my favorite game I've ever played. The story. The style. The characters. It's perfect. It's playable anime is the best way I can describe it. (There is an anime but it doesn't do the story justice if it's the first thing you are consuming P5 it is a great way to relive the story without having to go back and put 100 hours into a the game) I can't wait to hear what you think of it! I was so pissed at the Loid figure, I think his sitting prize figure has been the best one to get his face right, but still! The only thing I'm glad about absolutely hating this Loid, is that now I'm not forcing myself to pay FuRyu pricing. Bought a bunny figure from native and have been trying to use my credit card to pay for it but keeps telling me my credit cars cannot be used. I don't have nuch of a balance on my card I called them and was told that my card was working fine and to make sure the shipping address is the same name and everything as the card contacted credix and got told that my card the card has a limit or something and contacted native and was told to just try another card. Also, definitely play persona! if you're into rpgs person 5 royale is coming out on the switch in october (it's already out on the ps if you prefer that system) and if you prefer more like an action less turnbase play person 5 strikers is the follow up (but you don't need to play person 5 really to get what's happening imo) and you can get that on the switch and ps . I actually haven't played royale, i played persona 5 and then literally royale came out and the difference is kasumi (and some plot ) lol so that was annoying, i never really played it. I'm considering getting it for the switch when it comes out though since it's been a while now.

29:32 They are not even true 1:7ths! Anya is supposed to be about 1m and that figure of her is announced to be 10cm,which makes her literally 1:10th(!) and I guess the other Forgers as well. Ordering her would cost me about 150-160$ (shipping, custums etc. included) for A 10CM FIGURE! The laugh of the day. But I preordered her price figure where she's riding on the back of Bond anyway (in that figure her face seems off but fixable imo, but I just love the pose with Bond) 🥰 If I'd have the money I would decide for Anya+Bond resin statue where both wear sunglasses.

There is a scandal happening about the quality of the Ichihara Yuko figure by emontoys that they displayed at this wonderfestival. I try not to cancel anyway as I think it's unfair to the retailer. Reasons such as losing your job is something AmiAmi will take into consideration for canceling.

I AM SO EXCITED FOR RIMURU 🥰 tbh i have one of the eStream Rimuru’s preordered too because i love him and the show as a whole. He is expensive but yeah it is what it is for me 🤷🏼‍♀️ I will say that with the yen doing a nose dive and the cost of manufacturing going through the roof the price increases were inevitable. Everything is more expensive and it’s honestly kinda scary. Tbh figures are a luxury so I’m more upset that people are struggling with basic needs because of cost than about figure prices. I def am being even more selective because of prices and I do understand people being sad about being priced out of the hobby. I still POd Yuki cause he’s my boy and tbh I think the Fruba license fees are HIGH and like you said we get crumbs lol 🥹 Goodbye money lol hashtag worth it Edit: lol I laughed so hard at the yasified Rimuru comment Yuki is a great character but I agree that he doesn’t belong with Tohru. I think the story as is with Yuki learning about familial love from Tohru is perfect. Tohru and Kyo def belong together.

If you ever get the time try to watch the Slime anime series. The 1st season is surprisingly good, even uplifting: world-building where everyone involved, especially the down-trodden, get treated equitably, learn from it, become givers to the community rather than victims, takers, abusers. I especially like the Orcs. Where it slips somewhat later on imho is too many episodes dedicated to Slime being an educator to a select group of children, yawn. Mio Blue: still on the fence about her mainly account Native's questionable reliance on JapanPost EMS shipping items out during the never ending global pandemic shell game saga. Got till August to commit...or not. K-ON set of 5 still commanding the big bucks: Wow, makes me regret selling mine off a few years ago. (I did OK but it's become a fine line determining what a fair asking resell price should be). I have a few gems MIB condition on a different franchise I'm still in a quandary about re resell asking price. Should I be uber greedy or reasonable...ponder the imponderables? Can't collect 'em all. And thank you Japan/China manufacturers making cutting back easier.

I am a Yuki stan, but Kyo is 1000% the better match for Tohru romantically. (I stan both boys, tbh.) The way they went with Yuki and Tohru's relationship (the motherly route) makes complete sense given Yuki's lack of affection growing up and his confliction at being shown any level of real care. Machi makes sense for him, and I wish she didn't come in so late in the story. I don't know if I can forgive you for disliking him though.... (Kidding, of course. lol) And despite my love for Yuki, I won't be preordering his nendo. Maybe if he actually comes out well upon release I'll consider picking him up. But I can't forgive that combo of price + quality. -__- Also, I hope you enjoy Persona 5 when you play it! It's my favorite video game ever.
