Thanks! Will do! I have a new plan, based on the comments received from Part 4… response has been awesome!

Thx Nick! Yep… getting closer. We’ve received lots of valuable comments on what to troubleshoot next. Next video coming out soon.

8.2 : 1 Is compression ratio. but I remember seeing around 85-100 psi is good compression for them on the internet. If it is a worn motor I think I have heard around 70psi. So anything above 70 PSI will be okay. Try to see if you can get the compression tester to work? I don't know that compression tester. I have always used a simple compression tester with only a hose that you screw down into the spark plug hole and a pressure gauge that shows PSI By running the starter motor for 5 seconds.

Awesome… TY! I just recently obtained a compression tester. I was using a leak-down tester in the video… wrong tool for stage. Compression test tomorrow. TY again sir!

@ProfessorWeissaAlles - Hi Professor, I'm happy to report that the compression is 87.5. Also, we replaced the fuel line... it appears that the in-line fuel filter was restricting fuel flow. We've got the engine operational to the point where we took it out for some desert riding. She''s still not 100%, but for now, we're having fun! New video (FINAL) posting shortly. TY again!

I am very happy to hear that. That is very good compression. Keep the videoes coming. Best regards Professor Weise alles

I still think it's the piston rings. It is not that difficult to take the engine apart to clean the piston rings. And reassemble the engine. You can easily handle that.

Thx again for the encouragement! I’m going to get on it tomorrow… I have the piston ring compressor set. QUESTION… the piston moves smoothly, it doesn’t seem to burn oil (no smoke), I don’t see any scratches in the cylinder… I can see crosshatching. Are those symptoms (or lack thereof) indicators as to the health of the rings? Either way, I’ll be running a compression test and then go after cleaning the rings… just curious for your thoughts… learning fast.

@@suburbandiy I guess it could be they the piston rings are installed incorrectly perhaps. They need to be put in in a correct way. And I also think that's the issue.

On it… TY! I’ll ensure they’re in the correct order. Thx again!
