GY6 150CC Carburetor Idle Air Mixture Screw Plug Removal

In this video I will show you how to remove the brass plug that is covering the idle air mixture screw. The manufacturers have been told to make it difficult for us "regular" people to make adjustments to the carburetor. One of the ways they accommodated this was they plugged the access for the Idle Air Mixture screw. We need to be able to make adjustments to this screw after a good carb cleaning.

Brand new scooter hard to to start and doesn't last going higher speeds. I dont want to take the carburetor out and do this, if it was still just the screw I couldve easily adjusted. Thought I was crazy when I didn't see the screw after so many videos. thanks for being the only updated carburetor video.

Dang. Spent 30 minutes looking for the screw. It is probably manufacturer mandated as all my other "small engine vehicles" has the screw exposed and easily adjusted. Pocket bike, gokart, atv, etc. But this GY6 engine is new to me and it has an idle issue (won't idle and bogs down if I push on the throttle) so I wanted to adjust the idle. Could not find the screw and kept checking. Thanks for showing me the way to defeat the manufacturer's stupidity again.
