Hey I really like you guys channel, I watch all your videos religiously! I put a 150cc gy6 longcase engine in my little 50cc Chinese scooter, and had too re-weld, and fabricated a different engine bracket to have it stop cracking...not fun when your doing 60mph, and your engine drops...thanks guys.

I bought this kit from Matt @ Rolling Wrench and its nice. Only thang is if you want to do a side mount license plate put it on 1st. Other wise you have to take it all off to put it on. If you want to upgrade your mounts do it 1st as well. I did not do ether one and wish I did before I put it all on.

I believe you had stated there is no ankle biter cvt option for a 139qmb long case .......I'm in the process of working with a metal fab guy to make one out of billet aluminum I just had one question if I used the gasket as a diagram for all the screw locations would you say it's doable???

You are correct. Nothing is available right now for the qmb139. You can use the gasket no problem. But the big problem is the kickstart cover has a bushing the starter clutch rides in. You will need to figure out that part. It makes it a little more complicated.

So other versions of Ankle biters dont appear to have that part that goes over the top like this one... Just a plate. Is that still safe? Or am I missing something? I would think so since it's basically the same support as a OEM cover... I worry about this though. I want an ankle biter but I want all the safety too.

I have had a gy6 motor of the same or similar model(should be qmj157 if i am not mistaken) in your video snap just infront of the gearbox even with the cvt cover on (got lucky that i have spare motors) (i have one extra of the similar model, and another with internal reverse), do you think that the brace will work with the cvt cover on? Even if it doesnt. (im more than willing to learn how to build or modify my own parts if it comes to it).

Can you do a video of an oil cooler? Do you need an oil pump or just the cooler. Don't get how it would cycle the oil.

The cooler receives oil after the oil pump but before the engine internals. Once oil has made it to the camshaft it then drains back to the oil belly via gravity on the left side of the head where the timing chain is.

@@allandionedias On a recent project I worked on, the original rollers were 14gm and the engine held about 5500rpm during acceleration. Dropping down to 11gm rollers raised this to 6500rpm and gave noticeably better acceleration without any significant loss of top speed. Trial and error might be the best (or the only) way to judge, if you have a tachometer this will help significantly.

I FIXED IT turns out that ingnition "sonsor" or pickup something was hanging on one bolt, screwed in the second and the sputter is gone

GY6 are made simple. Why ruin a good thing with electronic fuel injection? My Maikuni PWK-24 carburetor dont have a rev limiter like EFI dose.

@@noneshere to have something more powerful and much more flexible. I take something with a carb from my place to my closest partners. (5m drive if that) and I've climbed nearly 400ft in altitude. Half an hour from me I can have trebled my distance above sea level. If I go 45m the other direction I'm all of 1 miles from the beach and barely 30m above sea level. Cars on small engines struggle here. Carbs are only really useful if you are tuning for one consistent location and WOT. If I want to tune something purely for WOT I'll build annother drag bike/car. The efi offered by his website isn't particularly flexible it's not a bad set and forget auto system but given that a Speeduino costs less than 200$ with tuning software and shipping and can be soldered at home in two hours and would use the same injector and throttle body he sells why not. I can set cards, I can rebuild cards, I do both reasonably regularly but honestly on a new build especially something where I am building for performance EFI every single time. Plus EFI + Wideband CO2, 60$ on ebay and a crate of beer leads to a pocketbike nitrous kit that would actually work given I can pull timing and not melt things vs drilling a hole in the air intake and hoping for the best as the destructions suggest.

@@noneshere also lol, 'doesn't have a rev limiter like EFI does'. Theres always a rev limit on an engine, just because you haven't reached it doesn't mean there isn't one. Usually found when rods punch holes in cases. I'm not talking about the rollingwrench standalone none tunable box, I'm talking about proper EFI that allows you to adjust fueling across the entire map and actually program it properly setting my rev limits as I wish to take advantage of the gearing rather than a box that is capable of making very crude adjustments only. Carbs are a useful thing to know how to tune but outside of very specific circumstances where WOT is key they are a dead tech for a reason. Plus of course EFI at sub 200$ plus the pump and throttle body from the rw kit means that things like turbocharging and supercharging safely and with actual usable road manners becomes pretty dammed easy. The whole point of nodded vehicles is pushing boundaries and doing new things and a scooter is a cheap project where.the major costs are kept small by the scale of the thing and the components being mostly produced in the third world so why not.

The factory clutch bell is the strongest. It dont have large gaping holes in it like many aftermarket bells do.
