Exactly. This is proof that the BoTW great plateau paraglider skip will come eventually. The existence and furthermore, the discovery of this skip, is absolutely mind boggling.

Breath of the Wild paraglider skip won't happen for a few reasons: A) It's slower than just getting it anyway. Tree Force One is faster when done ideally even over horses/Epona. Even if it were possible, for some freak of nature, it wouldn't be actually useful except for low%. B) It would require memory corruption or ACE for some sort of method to unload the kill plane that exists outside all of Hyrule, it will warp you back to the Plateau during the final Dark Beast Ganon fight. C) You would have to find a way to instantly warp to the Sanctum from Plateau to get to the Blight fights.

Your probably right, I just know I was told this barrier skip was impossible and now it can be reliably RTA'd. May be that the great player skip is actually in forcing an early paraglider somehow. I dunno, only ever run oot any% never had the patience to try any other runs.

DERPUSLORD any% is dead, the last part requires extreme rng which can take hours, but with god rng you can get a 1h30m

In all dungeons it saves about 45 minutes by skipping triforce quest and early light arrows saves some time too. In any% it saves like 2 hours if you do Puppet Ganon skip.

i'm only a rare visitor of speedrun content: how is he able to read link's angle from memory (on a windows screen)? i assume it's not Cemu because that'd be more TAS-like so is it some kind of module that lets you read something from memory live on an external OS like windows?

SinusStudios It's because the WiiU was hacked. What he is using is Dragonbane0's tools (link in the description) which, if I understand correctly, are composed of a little program which runs on the WiiU at the same time that the game, and send certain values in RAM to a computer through network. If you want to learn more about that, I think it's a midified version of Cafiine

You're probably not holding Up for long enough before releasing and pressing ZL. Either that or you're using the hookshot. For some reason the hookshot shoots in opposite directions compared to the Grapple, Bow, or Boomerang. So if you try to use the hookshot pressing Up is not necessary.

The GameCube version of Barrier skip can only be accomplished through a glitch called character unloading but its unfeasable for non TAS runs.

Because that's cheating. Speedruns are done using only the mechanics available in the game itself. If you want to use a data viewer you are in the Tool Assisted category and then you may as well record your inputs.

At that point you are just cheating yourself. Speedrunning is more self driven. Although tbh it isn't going to give that much of an advantage. They already have a setup so it is consistent enough to do without the angle data. The simple answer is no they can't enforce it though so you technically could get away with it. I wouldn't care though tbh. As I mentioned it isn't giving an advantage really.
