I have lower back (or whole spine) tendon/ligament weakness with arthritis. I changed my workout to include more yoga to concentrate on core (Abs). I will add your workout routine into my total workouts. In gym, most people are doing weights & leave abs at end of workout. Most of my time at gym, I'm doing abs, which helps my back. It really does help.

Thank you for your feedback and taking your time to watch. However, I strongly suggest that you pay a bit more attention to training the spinal column muscles before training the core. This video is very helpful and got me rethinking what I thought I knew about "core" training. Can you do a video discussing the transverse abdominis and its importance (or lack thereof) for core strength?
@getgymnastfitАй бұрын
Thank you very much, I appreciate it a lot. I’m happy to hear that I could help a bit. As for the transverse abdominals, it’s virtually impossible to activate it separately. It always works as a part of the core compound where the importance of each muscles cannot be emphasized, they are all important as the team and should work in synchronized fashion to the utmost efficiency. The moment we emphasize work of only one of them (theoretically, coz it’s not fisible) the synchronized and coordinated work of the core will be compromised leading the spinal muscles into an unbalanced states. Just like in an orchestra, if the violin is more loud than it should the whole play sounds horrible. Same with the body. Please, check my other video “Gymnastics Spine Stability” if you aim to develop more stability of the torso. Because in the first place, the work of spinal muscles, and not the core, gives us very good support. Training the core alone (especially only the front of it…by doing crunches and other drills of the kind), without conditioning the spinal muscles first, will make our performance, actually worse and might hurt our spinal health. 🤝

Hey! I came across your videos last night-- and was immediately impressed. First, you are a very good teacher. That is RARE skill. Many people, whatever their discipline, "talk" and forget that the aim is to provide some sort of "learning" that outlasts a video, a class, or whatever... but you actually teach! Your ability to paint parallels between fitness and daily life is extremely helpful. I really appreciate your idea about "psychological vs physical stamina" This is a really helpful way to indicate overall coordination, aside from the purely physical aspects of working out. Also-- your 1% example of improvement makes things that are daunting more manageable. I talk about a lot these things in my own podcast as well. I'm impressed by your content. I find it to be not only helpful... but meaningful too. #NewFan

I can't do anything with my feet bent or stretched as I'm healing a large cronic wound but I'll just do everything other exercises in this. It's extremely hard to find exercises that won't rip my foot open. These are going to be super helpful in getting strong again. I feel 75 and I'm not even 40 yet. Gotta take it slow just to get back into a routine. I miss having a routine. Sir you are great at explaining proper techniques. ❤

Thank you for your feedback, I do hope this training will help. However, I’d suggest that you start building your fitness back up slowly. And maybe not with this workout to begin with. Try the following path. Watch the other videos in this order: 1. Gymnastics Spine Stability workout 2. Quick fix - pelvic tilt 3. Quick fix - hollow body 4. Unlock your shoulders mobility 5. Correct wrist mechanics 6. Improve one leg balance 7. Unlock perfect squats 8. Quick fix - squats 9. Gymnastics Core Workout Those 8 videos would cover most of the fundamentals needed to push your fitness a bit further. Please try and let me know what you think. 🙂🤝

✅️ 2nd or 3rd view. 1st view tried this routine. Rewinding most of the vids because this is retraining of the brain for me, at least. Good practice of "assignments" between sessions Revealing the weak links in my kinetic chain. Thanks Maxim

You are very welcome! I’m sure it’ll get better soon. One it is then trying combining 2-3 drills into one. Try up to 5 drills in one compound. 🙂

An effective visualzation you suggest is core activated in the elongated position. I am getting to know what this looks and feels like. A goal of mine is to be able to integrate proper mechanics to the online routines i have been doing for over a year and to discern which moves to totally eliminate without sacrificing any progress made since beginning these youtube computer generated workouts . Some moves just feel wrong for the human body and the sequencing can be quite poor, as if the content creators or A I throw random exercises together. What you are teaching here is quite challenging, in a good way. See ya soon. @@getgymnastfit

Very clear and informative content 🫡 I find it difficult for Dills 3-4, 8-10. Basically, anything involving the V-sit😅 I begin with good posture, but then I feel my abdominals giving out, and my spine begins to fall and arche backward. How can I progress towards being able to complete the V-sit drills? Thank you for your insight and instruction 👍🏽 You've earned a loyal subscriber!

@@getgymnastfit I was a student of Dr. Mel Siff who was invited to the Soviet Union to study the Olympic sports training system. He eventually wrote several books one of which is: SuperTraining. There is no one on the internet who gives instruction like this, so its a privilege to watch. You should consider offering coaching qualification courses, like Dr. Mel Siff did.

Wow, what an experience you must’ve had! Fascinating! And thank you for your kind words. I used to hold seminars for other coaches when I lived in Vancouver for 7 years. Halifax is a bit fitness quiet so I have more time to share with everyone on the internet now. Will see where my journey will lead me. 🙂
