Well done! Looking forward to a Zimone video in the future - consider this my vote :)

Thanks for the support and vote - Lets see if Zimone can beat our her Professor shall we?

Your video format is well honed, and that breakdown segment in particular, everything I've wanted in an EDH deck tech summary! It certainly looks like Ruxa is the crowd favorite, but I'll cast my vote for ROOTHA!

Thanks for the feedback and glad you enjoy it. And that one vote for the Darkhorse in this race - maybe she'll surprise us with an upset.

As a chef myself I was tickled pink by this card, was workshopping a build and this helps a ton!

Glad my build could serve as some inspiration to whatever your cooking up (be it deck or otherwise).

Glad that the deck tech helped you out and thanks for the support. Regarding gameplay footage, currently I'm not really equipped for that but maybe some point down the line - you never know...

I have played Gyome a couple of times now and I like your take on the grow threat creatures +1/+1 counter sub theme is a good idea
@GrazzetMTG2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Gyome certainly makes it easier to keep counter laden creatures alive once he hits the board, so it makes the deck quite reliable.
@pablocastillo53963 жыл бұрын
Tasty deck Sir, the only drawback i see is the high cost of our head chef. Ruxa seems a really fun buildaround, i'm sure zimone's time will come eventually, so my vote is for the academic bear. Cheers!
@GrazzetMTG3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Gyome being 4 CMC doesn't do him any favors but being in green does help take the edge off. Another vote for Ruxa, which looks like ties her up again with Zimone - this one could be another close race.

A new viewer/subscriber here. I just discovered your channel via r/budgetbrews and I must say I love your work. I’m primarily a cEDH player and I want my casual decks to be cheap enough that I can try out many things without making too many concessions when it comes to quality; this is exactly the kind of content I want to see for budget casual decks. As for the next commander option, I’m not particularly excited by any option, but I’m most curious about your ideas for Ruxa. Cheers mate!
@GrazzetMTG3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the sub and glad you enjoy the content! And for the vote as well, though I doubt Ruxa needs it at this point with the lead she has....
@JohnnyBilic3 жыл бұрын
Grazzet MTG - I love it! My main problem with casual is that I’m often confused and don’t know where to start. For cEDH there are primers and changelogs. For casual decks are usually relatively expensive and/or poorly built. Yours have just the right balance of thought put into them and reasonable price, at least for my needs. If you don’t mind me asking, I’m working on Nymris and your Firja greatly inspired me. Do you have any tips? Dimir/blue specific stuff I should keep an eye out for?
@chrishogan91433 жыл бұрын
Ruxa would be my vote. It would be interesting to see what direction you take her in.

The Vanilla Bear gets on the scoreboard with one vote - tying it up with Zimone. Lets see if the professor can take overtake the prodigy.

I want to start of by apologizing for not naming a cmdr you listed at the end of the video... But I would love to see a deck built around [[Tolsimir, Friend to Wolves]]

No worries, but builds outside of the available selection are being backlogged for the time being. Hopefully I'll be able to get to the at some point.

I did like a combination of all the archetypes you talked about haha
@GrazzetMTG2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Gyome ends up being less about a cohesive playstyle and more about keeping powerful creatures that can end the game on their own if they stick around alive for as long as possible.
@benroberts10522 жыл бұрын
@@GrazzetMTG yeah. I personally love cards like feasting troll king and reprocess

Ruxa is my vote Fun, easy to budget commander, looking to go wide with classic green dumb stuff!
@GrazzetMTG3 жыл бұрын
Ruxa does have a certain charm, since is too much well stated green beef and token producers that never see any play - which they just may this time around since with this vote Ruxa is now in the lead. Lets see if she can keep it.
@nickatwork3 жыл бұрын
Would definitely love to see your take on Ruxa
@GrazzetMTG3 жыл бұрын
You just may get you wish, since Ruxa's Lead is widening against Zimone with this vote.

@@GrazzetMTG great news! I just pulled them with extended art so I'm itching to build around.

I vote Ruxa, the other two seem too straight forward, but Ruxa puts an interesting spin on deck limitations.

Another vote for the Grizzly Prof. - Looks like we'll have to get ready for class in the next video.

{1}, sacrifice a Food: basically regenerate target creature, even though we said we wouldn’t use regeneration anymore

Good comparison - I guess its a way for WOTC to sneak in some regen without us noticing right away.

I like Ruxa but I might go with Zimone, could be a decent landfall deck
@GrazzetMTG3 жыл бұрын
Zimone was neck in neck with Quintorius, with the pachyderm winning out in the end by by a nose (or trunk in this case) - so maybe she'll get to take the gold this time around.
@AdamKaiser13 жыл бұрын
I would love to see Ruxa but I'm curious how the take on Zimone would be...some sore of "Landlord" Style of Deck.
@GrazzetMTG3 жыл бұрын
Well, at least one of your wishes if getting granted, since Ruxa got the vote and will be in the next episode after Quintorius - so stay tuned.
@muneerkhan65263 жыл бұрын
I nominate Zimone & Rootha if it's possible to nominate two cards. If not, I nominate just Rootha. Ruxa is already popular, I'd love to see what you'd do with the uncommon commanders.

Another vote for the dark horse in this race but anything can happen, so we'll see if she can get there.
@killersticks01233 жыл бұрын
I have another question if I may what cards would you recommend cutting out for upgrades?
@GrazzetMTG3 жыл бұрын
Curious Pair and Gingerbrute would be the first creatures I would swap out. Underhanded Designs could also be replaced for something a bit more efficient. Hope that serves as a start.
@killersticks01233 жыл бұрын
I actually have a question about this deck as for the upgrades would lithoform engine work to copy the commander's food generation ability and also do you ever do upgraded deck videos I would love to see one for this one
@GrazzetMTG3 жыл бұрын
Lithoform Engine's first ability will does allow it to copy Gyome's Triggered Food Generation ability on our end step. As for upgrades, I have not done any but may look into putting one to a vote further down the line if I have some time.
@nvekmauvia3 жыл бұрын
Awesome vid - quick question, roughly what power level would you classify the decks you build? On the 1-10 scale where 10 is cEDH
@GrazzetMTG3 жыл бұрын
Good question - I usually strive to eek out every bit of performance out of the decks I build, so I would day that they end up in the between focused and tuned - usually between 4 - 6 Power Level depending on the deck.

Rootha has my vote assuming it's not too late 😅

Not too late just yet - looks like Rootha us catching up to Zimone but still has a while to go before making up the Professors wide lead.

Moriok Rigger doesn't work with food, right? Food tokens don't go to the graveyard, they just disappear.
@Kaprak103 жыл бұрын
Tokens of all kind go to the graveyard, then disappear as a state based effect. That's why things like Zulaport Cutthroat work with token creatures, "dies" is MTG shorthand for "moved to the graveyard from the battlefield", token creatures hit the grave and then disappear, just like gold/treasure/clues/food.

A valid criticism, as there are a fair bit of Golgari commanders that are vastly more powerful than him but he's still a good pick up for casual gameplay.
