The Culture and History of Gypsy and Ghawazie in Egypt.
There is a difference between Gypsies tribes "Ghajar tribes" and Ghawazie family in Egypt. There are still many dancers and choreographers who believe in otherwise, which has caused some confusion in the content of folk dance for both groups. Most researchers look at the Gypsy and Ghawazie from a narrow anthropological point of view, away from the kinetic expression that indicates the way of life and how it affects them.
Also below are more details about the Egyptian Gypsies and Ghawazi:

Dear Bro, Jordan_FooballEditz " @jordanpesta" And all my friends here who talk about gypsies: My academic standing does not grant me the right to point out errors, nor do I speak from my own mind about all this information, as every piece of information we mention in our lectures or books must be documented. As you know, there are many books and references that we use in our research. As specialized researchers, we do not rely on hearsay but on these books and references, unless it is a new theory or new information, in which case we specify how we arrived at it. You can now blame all the academies, and here are some of the references I mention below that you can refer to: ------------------------------------------------------ - Etudes Tsiganes : Bulletion de I’Association des Exudes Tsiganes, Paris - Gertude Jobes: Dictionary of Mythologies, Folklore and Symbols, The Scareero Press. Thank you so much for your comment. The truth is that we, as Egyptian nationals, speak the Arabic language. There is a study conducted by Dr. Margaret Kendall, followed by Dr. Tarek Taha, on a large sample of Egyptians. This study confirmed that 78.6% of Tutankhamen's genes are present in 6.7% of Egyptians, which means that about 90% of Egyptians are descendants of the ancient Egyptians. Additionally, there is research by Dr. Mark Jobling, Dr. Kaufer Seald,, and Dr. Luca Bacca from the University of Cambridge that confirmed that 55,000 years ago, Asians and Europeans carried Egyptian genes. This was published in the American Journal of Human Genetics in 2015 under the title 'Egyptians in whole of us.' Therefore, as you mentioned, there is a small portion of our genes, as Egyptians, that could be attributed to other ethnicities.

People that become dispossessed like the Ghawazie seem to happen in other cultures and are often called gypsies. What comes to mind are the Irish travelers. Despite often being incorrectly referred to as "Gypsies",[6] Irish Travellers are not genetically related to the Romani, who are of Indo-Aryan origin.[9][10] Genetic analysis has shown Travellers to be of Irish extraction, and that they likely diverged from the settled Irish population in the 1600s, probably during the time of the Cromwellian conquest of Ireland. Centuries of cultural isolation have led Travellers to become genetically distinct from the settled Irish.[11] Traveller rights groups long advocated for ethnic status from the Irish government, succeeding in 2017.[12]

Some of your facts are incorrect. The Ghawazi are Nawar, Sinti and Romani. The Banat Mazin girls speak Nawar and Arabic because Yosef was Nawar and their mother was Fellahin. The dancing came from Awalim dancers that they witnessed in the 1500's when they went to Egypt after the Battle of Chaldiran in Kurdistan. The reason why they all dance so different is because they come from different dancer lineages. See the Romani copied the Sinti and Nawar dancers to try and get their jobs. That is why Sinti and Nawar Ghawazi dislike Romani Ghawazi a lot. I suggest you read Edwina Nearing's work. The Nawar come From Domari people.

@@TamerAziz You can tell the complete history. They have a long and sorted history, but you did great for the most part. Just left out a few important details which happens at times when researching over 500 years of history. Khariyya only knows from the late 1800's on, so I have been researching it with Domari, Sinti, and Romani people a lot trying to figure out what part of India they all came from. The Nawar (Domari descendants) are helpful and know about the 1514 battle that made them flee Kurdistan. Yosef Mazin told the tale his own way and was very cute doing so. It is important to separate each Ghaziyyah group because they are all different. Just don't call Nawar and Sinti "gypsies" ever. It means thief in their dialect and Don't Call Egyptian Romani Nawar because in their dialect it means thief as well. I always call them travelers from India.

@TamerAziz
@TamerAziz Жыл бұрын
Some of the dancers and dance trainers claim that Eastern dance originated from the ancient Egyptians due to the similarity of the costumes worn by the dancers now, in addition to the drawings of dancers found on temple and tomb walls. However, there is no evidence or confirmation of this form of performance existing in ancient Egyptian times. Most forms of dance were religious performances, except for dances performed in public celebrations that do not resemble Belly dance. The term "belly dance" appeared in the early 19th century and became popular after it was used by American society. The term "Oriental dance" is also modern, although it was created by the Jawari dancers who appeared inside the Arabian palaces during Islamic era. Dear betoajr, I think you are influenced by Clebertr's writings and his opinions when he said that the first form of the word gypsy was Gipsyan And it is derived from Egyptian. "Clebert J. P., The Gypsies. Translated by Charles Duff. Penguin Book" I refer you to the more recent studies of Verzar and Weszeczky, which strongly support the origin of the Roma in India. Also the results of a test blood of some gypsies with an analysis of the blood of Indian soldiers tested by Hirzfelds in Salonika. "Boyd W. C., Four Achievements of the Genetical Method in physical Anthropology. American Anthropologist, Vol. 65" Notice: These are just two and there are still more references.

@@TamerAziz When Roma Gypsies first came to Europe they were known as "Egyptians" due to their "says" or stories that claimed that they came from place Little prince of Egypt and where originally slaves of the Egyptian Pharaohs. How did Egypt become Roman? . The rich lands of Egypt became the property of Rome after the death of Cleopatra VII in 30 BCE, which spelled the end of the Ptolemaic dynasty that had ruled Egypt since the death of Alexander the Great in 323 BCE. After the murder of Gaius Julius Caesar in 44 BCE, the Roman Republic was left in turmoil. (32-30 BC) was the last civil war of the Roman Republic, fought between Mark Antony (assisted by Cleopatra and by extension Ptolemaic Egypt) and Octavian. In 32 BC, Octavian convinced the Roman Senate to declare war on the Egyptian queen Cleopatra. when Roma started to move to europe they asked them who they are and where there from , they said we are roman egyptian (roma gypsi)

@@robb1312 Some opinions have emerged suggesting a connection between the Gypsies and Egypt. Proponents of these opinions believe that the Gypsies, who live in various places and occupy different regions of the world, trace their origins back to Egypt. Burton says, "If there is one thing that remains constant about the Gypsies, it is the affirmation that they originally came from Egypt, the country that gave them their habitation and name, and the only country where the Gypsies have been able to preserve their physical characteristics and ancestral professions." Supporters of this view argue that the word "Gypsy" is believed to be derived from the word "Egyptian," and that "Gypsy" is derived from the word "Cohpt." However, the scholars who concluded that Egypt is the original homeland of the Gypsies based on linguistic evidence or by comparing names have not been successful, and thus their viewpoint has faced considerable criticism. Other scholars have presented many pieces of evidence to show that similarity in names does not imply an Egyptian origin. For example, "Hoten" used the same linguistic evidence to prove the opposite belief in Egyptian origin. Regarding the Gypsies' claim of being Egyptians, Jones stated that their claim to be of Egyptian lineage is not true and it is possible that they are of Aryan or Indian lineage. "Hoten" summarized these opinions by saying that the only evidence that the Gypsies originally belong to Egypt is their skin color and ancestral affiliation to the East. However, neither their physical appearance nor their language can establish a connection between them and ancient or modern Egypt.

As seen in this video, I explain the history of the ancient Gypsies through documented references, most of which are recent, and we currently benefit from them in our research. This does not mean that I reject what you wrote to me because some societies have merged in one way or another with each other in the past, and a good example of this is modern studies that have proven the presence of DNA markers among ancient Egyptians. In most societies worldwide. This does not mean that all societies on earth are Egyptian, but because of this ancient mixture that occurred.
