There is a HUGE difference between a guy like Jlaw and Dungey. Dungey actually took care of himself and stayed busy. Jlaw was the complete opposite. " Possible top 5 in a moto? ".........Not a chance in hell. I would be surprised to see him even score points inside the top 20. My guess would be outside the top 20 , in about 22 - 28th.......And that is being gracious. And I'm a Jlaw fan btw.

@@iiiMember oh I agree 100%. You can’t deny the talent he had on a bike though. Dude hardly trained and spent all his time partying and still was at the top of the game. He was a master troll too..the supercross title he won in 2008 is what I was referencing him getting in dungey’s head. He was trash talking him so much that I remember dungey switched from One industries to Fox just so he didn’t have the same gear sponsor as Lawrence in the middle of the season.

Nah, bruh. So much time OFF Racing. Dungey came back from good standings from his last championship, and still looked fit even in retirement, on the first round lived up to his number. I Hope he does well but A LOT of catching up.

I'm a J-Law fan, but he never won on a 450. Dungey won multiple sx and Mx 450 titles and is 32-33 years old. He came back after a 6 yr absence. He's fighting for top 5 finishes. J-Law is not gonna come back after 12 years at 35 years of age and beating Dungey. Not even. Again, I'm a J-Law fan, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him struggle for a top 20. Maybe he will prove me wrong , but until he does, I say he will be doing good to crack the top 20.

At this point no one knows anything about JLAW and what he's been doing in terms of training, riding, etc. Maybe he completely turned things around , hired a personal trainer, got on a nutrition program, a riding program, put down the bong, cleared probabation...yeah, never mind. It'll just be nice to see the guy at the track doing what he loves to do and feeling the love from the fans. You can underestimate how powerful that is for a guy who has really f'd his life up and is just looking for a "win" (not a moto win, a life win). Good luck to him and I hope we see the guy out there soon.

I don’t understand why a motorcycle dealer doesn’t support him and get him racing again but make a contact saying Jlaw has to pay them back after he wins. JLaw on a 450 ? 12th place probably not. 20th would be more like it. These guys are very fast and in great physical condition. I would love to see him come back. There is no way in hell he could match Dungeys pace. Ryan Dungy is accomplishing something in mx that has been attempted by many greats. I'm telling you he is a friggen cyborg. Like Tomac he gets stronger later in the moto. Call it physical conditioning call it learning the track or whatever. They both carry that beast mode button. We just haven't seen Ryan's in a while .

This guy won’t even top 15 ,, The top ten 10 guys are all factory. Then on the cusp of top 10 is marchbanks and A Mart and these guys have been riding / training all season long. The guys 35 and not raced pro for a very long time. He will do one outdoor finish around top 20 and never to be seen again.
