The fact roczen even came back to racing after that injury is insane, and he's currently fought his way back to the top of the sport,2nd in the point standings right now. Unreal, I'm rooting for him to take the ship this season.

100%. Besides the physical struggles, the mental aspect of coming back after an injury like that is unreal.

Not only Kenny but we all got cheated out of seeing him rock the number 1 in supercross, homie was a young phenom and I’m just grateful we still get to watch him rip on a bike. Bring on more Kenny content like what he did with Mumford that was dope

Really enjoyed this video. I am an amputee since 2016 and it sounds like Kenny went through some of the same sufferings I had to endure with my leg amputation. Such a gnarly time in my life but thankful to have had the family and friends I had at the time to take care of me physically and mentally

I can't tell you how much I appreciate Gypsy Tales giving us such great behind the scenes looks into the riders lives and industry as a whole. You have the best podcast platform and I firmly believe more investment into making these riders real people to the fanbase will only continue to grow the sport. I still remember watching this race live. To this day I believe it derailed what could have become an undefeated season for Ken. He was riding on a completely different level than everyone else. With that being said, everything happens for a reason and his experiences seemed to have brought out a different side to Ken. A family man. A humble warrior...and one mentally tough SOB! Good luck this season Kenny...if it's not going to be ET3 on top, I truly hope it's you.

Unpopular opinion but if Kenny never grenaded his arm coop would have zero supercross chips and Eli would only have 1 if he’s lucky.

@@BrentCameron-ci9ng that is very possible Tomac didn't start riding consistent until his late 20s and I think Roczen would have smoked Webb but Tomac and Roczen had some serious outdoor battles on the 250s

That is crazy he could feel the electric starter! That is more proof the Top Dudes are not of this world. I had to add this, while listening to his recovery from the “incident” adds even more proof that these guys are not of the world.

Funny thing is about the first part of this clip, I had a brand new 2017 Honda 450 and absolutely loved that bike. Something about it was just comfortable, fast, nimble, and really was pretty easy to set up for myself. I rode a buddy’s 2018 Honda 450 and absolutely couldn’t stand it. Felt heavy, off balance, hard to turn, just didn’t feel like the same bike as the ‘17. Crazy to hear him say everything I felt years ago

I remember when i first started racing and didnt know how i wanted my bike setup lol, i just adjusted to how the bike was stock. After racing for almost 10 years through the C and B class, its wild how much of a difference a 10 mm offset handlebar makes over a stock handlebar just for example. It really does become an extension of your body and almost acts like another organ or limb or something.

I think after hearing the beginning he is one of the only honest rider out there.him talking about riding with a kickstart over a electric start bikes makes me think that is part of the reason he chose the zook.he is one of those picky riders that can feel if a knobby is worn out on a tire and tell you where it is

I shattered my radial and ulna in my left arm in a really bad ski accident in high school. Luckily, it wasn't a compound. The breaks were really jagged, though, not clean. like breaking a stick. I had 2 plates and 18 screws put in. My surgeon said it was the worst non compound break he'd ever seen. I was under for over 4 hours.

Rotating mass is huge on a bike. Think about all of the rotating parts inside of a four stroke engine, versus a two-stroke engine it’s not just how the power hits or the engine braking that affects how they work and feel it’s the rotational mass of the engine. When you have cranks and cams and cam chains hauling ass at 12,000 RPM in a four stroke that’s going to affect stuff. Adding an additional motor to that Would definitely be noticeable. Try just changing from a 19 inch rear tire to an 18 inch rear wheel and tire. You can definitely feel that change even if the outside diameter is the same. Go to a heavier front tire or tube. You can feel it. I’m using this as an example of course but the concept is the same…. Spinning weight creates a gyroscopic effect that can change everything….

I seen him crash at milleville MN outdoors hard. In the place he crashed was wide open throttle. the vids available don't do how hard he hit, think it was 2013. . I was right by the fence and he was by far the fastest on track - by far, until that.
