These podcasts with Mr. Coombs are some of the most informative ones you have ever done. Excellent work.

I feel like pro Moto is in great shape. The only thing I can bitch about is the camera work. They need more up close action and shots. People don’t understand the speed and height because it’s ALWAYS a top down or wide angle shot.

Yeah the fpv drone shots are terrible and takes away from the action. You can see any detail from it

@@DragonFury-gq5zo Man just the normal broadcast shots are always head on, above, and way too far away. That gives it the impression they aren’t moving very fast. They need a couple sections, or just 1 section on the track that the guys are at ground level. Filming as the riders pass by. Similar to how the racerx and pro motocross videos look
@rg8075 ай бұрын
Agreed. Some of the drone shots are great, most are too far away.

Can’t agree more. Been my only complaint lately as well. The camera work does nothing to show what’s going on or make it exiting. The drone shots, while great in theory, just feel so detached and seem to minimize the action.

So basically it came down to a short sighted view of the sport/product. Fast forward and due to outside pressure they realised the pie is actually big enough to work together and more importantly far stronger working together! Better late than never 👍

I was a kid at the race when the “lights went out in Vegas.” They brought in generators with large lights placed all over the track. At the time I love riding so much that rode my CR80 until it was so dark I could hardly see the track anymore, pretending I was Jeremy McGrath ripping on my Honda. The track that night was well lit but McGrath and a bunch of other riders refused to line up. I was so disappointed that I wouldn’t get to see him race a main. Emig lined up and won that night. I remember thinking that he loved riding as much as I did and probably rode until it was too dark to see too, so the track conditions was nothing to worry about. I was an Emig fan after that night. Emig still loves to ride and loves this sport, I miss hearing him in the booth. I wish they’d bring him back along with Daniel Blair. I can hardly watch with RC4 commentating.

Glamis has more riders in 1 weekend than ANY MX track does in an entire year... You promoters aren't as big as you think you are. Case in point, why aren't you on ESPN?

@7:50 This is why Supercross works in the USA and fails ‘@World SX.’ We also don’t want to shutter industries that have decades long investments in internal combustion engines. There’s a place for electric bikes, but you can’t expect a flip of the switch and ‘Walla’ everything’s converted. No one‘s against wind and solar. What they’re against is the forcing of electric down their throats. If it’s so Bitchin, it will happen organically in time. also just a tip.. we appreciate these big name hitters! Just try not to interrupt the flow. You only need the nudge when conversation, starts to slow👍

I still love how they call it ‘World’ Supercross championship. They only race in America. SMH
@vintagedave3935 ай бұрын
News flash...it's open to riders from around the world...just like MXGP is...except Supercross actually pays the riders and doesn't go to 3rd world countries because some Sheik, Dictator, or Emperor willingly pays the promoter to have a race in a field.🤣 By the way, Major League Baseball and Little League Baseball also have World Series...and they are held in the U.S. Why, because this is where the sport originated and still thrives. Unlike all the failed attempts at "World" Supercross events.

@@vintagedave393 lol. Seems like a cop-out to me. The races they had in Vancouver/ Toronto were successful. I’m just advocating for actually living up to the world portion of it. Get with the times man. Look at WSX & Paris too
@vintagedave3935 ай бұрын
@@promxracer Yes, lets look at WSX. They promised all sorts of things that haven't materialized. Mainly actual races. And money. Another FIM boondoggle. Hell, the Aussie promoter couldn't even get Jett and Hunter to show up. Have they even announced a schedule for this year? Paris is an off-season race for 2nd tier riders these days. And the American distributors that actually pay the riders killed the Canada races because the logistics didn't work and there was no benefit to American sales for racing in Canada. Until the promoters pay the riders MORE than the factories pay them the riders will always ride where it benefits their sponsors the most.
