I've been dreaming of gyrocopters for a while now & it's nice to see all those angles of the machine & flying! I'm really surprised there isn't more jello in the footage from such serious vibrations. Is that an Insta360 One X? I use one on my long range FPV drone.

Various GoPros including the new Max, Hero Blacks 7 and 5 and a few Session 5s. The stabilisation on the Max is outstanding.

@@StuWithAView Okay, that's the Max. Yeah, really good. I use a vibration dampening board under mine on my quadcopter, but you need a level place to mount it. Could be fabricated I'm sure, but don't really need it.

No they are not exempt; all aircraft must comply. The rules require a minimum of 500 feet separation from any person, vessel, vehicle or structure. That separation can be horizontal; it does not have to be vertical. And of course there aren’t any people, vessels, vehicles or structures over the estuary, which is why I get to fly low there.

Where is Stu and what have you done with him? Not complaining. New format obviously maybe means someone said 'let me do that for you Dad' and proud male progenitor in fear of discombobulating domestic bliss (as his eyes dart from female progenitor-ess' to trainee adult(s') eyes in rapid succession) and then said something vaguely affirmative thus leaving long-term watchers wondering whether there are drugs involved as an alternative explanation. The upside is it will force multiple views just to ensure the full psychedelic level is reached.

Fear not Peter; I haven’t been kidnapped by a gang of teenage videographers 😂 I have a new camera - GoPro Max (which, incidentally, is completely incredible) - and I wanted to do a quick edit for Facebook to give friends and family, who don’t have the patience to sit through a 15-20 minute video, a quick taste of why I love this gyro thing. The transitions were done by the GoPro app, and whilst yes, they are completely OTT, they took a lot less time than a normal edit. Fear not, normal service will resume; including of this flight, for which I had my usual cameras also running. But just to show you can’t please all the people all of the time, my view statistics on this one are way higher than my ‘usual’ recent ones 😜

I prefer your usual format. I like to hear your narration; your comms; and, of course, the noise of the aircraft itself. Heavily loading a video with wipes and transitions spoils it, in my opinion. Your usual format is a lot cleaner, far less distracting, and a lot more professional-looking. There are plenty on KZbin who do this kind of video and they don't hold my interest. There are few who produce gyro videos to your usual standard and that's why I am always eager to watch a new one and often go back to watch some of your videos multiple times.
