And the plot thickens! I took it out for a test run after the fix, ran it around the neighbourhood for 5 minutes and then got up to 25 km/h just before an intersection at which I had to stop. So I slammed on the brakes! Scooter took a bit longer than usual to stop (which I figured was due to my speed and weight). After the stop I looked down at the display and it was off! Dead! Could not power it up again. I took off the display panel (since it is now looser than usual) and nothing I did there worked. So I don't think it had anything to do with that board. Walked home and opened up the bottom, ONLY disconnected the main battery (yellow plug) for a few seconds and connected it again, and the scooter turned on! So seems like a hard reset (complete power disconnect) resets the logic boards in the controller and allows power button to work again. I guessed that maybe it has to do with hard stops using the brake... because it has a brake light on the tail fender, maybe something faulty going on there? Or maybe if detects acceleration and braking at the same time it went into a safety shutdown? Or maybe when the scooter senses that the brake is applied but not slowing down quickly enough, it will also trigger some safety mode where it goes completely dead? Not sure if these scooters have regenerative braking, but if so them perhaps once polarity reverses to the motor to charge up the battery, it is overloading the charging circuit, detects a fault and shuts off? These are all hypotheticals. So in any case, I scootered back and forth along my street, going up to 25 km/h, slamming on the brakes, accelerating, slamming on the brakes, repeatedly for about 5 minutes and could not reproduce the problem! Now the scooter is not shutting off when I put it through these hard cycles. I'm still at a loss to understand what exactly is triggering the failure, but so far a hard reset seems to get it up and running. Therefore, if I cannot solve the problem I may have to put a switch on the side of the scooter that lets me hard-reset the battery (like just serial-connect the battery through the switch) or create an access panel so I can easily get to the battery yellow plug. If this happens while I'm on the road, I can quickly and easily reset the scooter. Otherwise I'm looking at removing and putting back 15 screws each time!

Mine has an odd issue, at times It'll have a long beep and not power on at all. I'll plug the charger in for a few mins and try again and it powers on again. I haven't taken it apart yet, but i'll give it another few days and see if the issue keeps coming up.

@@sykotic77 Let me know what happens. If only I knew 100% for sure it was the battery and that the rest of the scooter was good, I wouldn't feel so bad dropping another $200 on a new battery (the scooter cost $350 total and it's only a year old). However, to spend $200 after 1 year for a new battery that costs more than half the original cost of the scooter seems a bit of a rip-off especially since they are supposed to last a few years at least.

I am thinking it could be the issue with the fuse, sometimes if the fuse is bad it will sometimes turn on or wouldnt at all. I have had the same issue before and buying a new fuse has saved the problem.

@@Polar_blox_21 Thanks for the suggestion! I will look into this! If the fuse is resetting after it "cools down" then that may explain it, otherwise if it is a one-time fuse that blows it wouldn't be able to turn on again.

How did you fix it because mine keeps going dead!

My flash 3 shows E3 error. Do you know what to do. Is there a reset button any where on this bike?
@devhackmod3 ай бұрын
No reset as far as I know, just pull battery connection and then put it back. The E3 could be the hall effect sensor (measures the speed of the wheel). The motor controller expects the wheel to turn at a certain rate when motor is activated and if it gets the wrong signals back it must mean either the motor is not performing properly, wheel is jammed or some other problem (low torque, etc). Either way, it shuts down. There are other error codes for throttle connection and brake, if you press these while you turn on the scooter they may throw up errors codes as well (or if you disconnect the wires that go to either throttle or brake and you turn on the scooter you may see that code also).

2 reasons why it’s not turning on u had the charger on and ur supposed to hold the button not click it
@devhackmod4 ай бұрын
Yes correct, I didn't hold down the button long enough in the video before I cut to the next shot. However it still didn't work even if I did hold it down with charger unplugged. It wasn't until I disconnected the battery internally and then reconnected it that I was able to bring the scooter back to life. That's why when I was riding and then it died on me suddenly, I had no way of turning the scooter back on, no matter how long I pressed the button. It was only after I took off the bottom panel to access the battery and disconnect and then reconnect it that it somehow reset. But even after all of this it's not really working as I believe the battery is toast and while it looks like it's holding a charge it quickly dies.

I have the exact same model and would say a similar problem. Mine would sudden die if i went fast (above 20km) but would be alive again after i pluged and unplugged the charger. So i dont think it has something to do with the battery as it still showed 5 bars after. One thing I noticed tho is that when I set it to a constant speed, sometimes it would sudden came to an abrupt stop and lose the constant speed. I guess it has something to do with the motor/ throttle maybe? Mine also showed a E3 error. Let me know if anyone had this issue as well!

My scooter wouldn't come back to life until I completely unplugged the battery from the controller. This is why I ended up installing those switches, so I wouldn't have to open up the entire bottom of the scooter each time. Unplugging/plugging to the wall charger alone didn't help bring the scooter back to life. Even with all I did, the battery doesn't seem to be holding a proper charge or providing adequate power. It will charge up and show high voltage initially but then under a little bit of load driving the motor it will drop quickly and significantly. I think that is what was happening... It would ride a few minutes then die, but to the point where it wouldn't let me start it up at all until I unconnected everything inside. I'm pretty sure the battery is cooked or at least one of the cells inside is bad and causing the battery management system (BMS) on the battery to not want to use it, resulting in a permanent shut-off for safety reasons (which perhaps is reset when I unplug it internally). If I could test another battery that would be great but I'm not shelling out $200 just to find out something else is wrong with the scooter. The only other option is getting it to a GyroCopters service center to let them test it out or sending in the battery. Either way, it's going to add more and more cost on a brand new scooter that cost me $350 not even 1 year ago. That's a huge waste of money. I'm not going to get burned again with this. If you end up figuring out how to fix yours let me know!

I just got mine the other day plugged it in for about 6 hrs the charger light was green followed the instructions says to push button 4 times then push down throttle and push yourself to go Nothing absolutely nothing , the lights work and the display but no power to the front wheel , I m not to happy after paying $447 and it doesn’t work Phone the number given, no tech person just another foreigner telling you email and do this and that, like fuck , it’s on warranty , you guys do the footwork not me !! Proof of purchase?? How the hell did I get it delivered to my doorstep ? Proof of purchase , obviously they only want to sell !!
