When Soyeon chooses a concept she dives in completely and every detail feels intentional. Like, this comeback is very 2nd generation-coded! Apart from the greek mythology elements and the references to their own past MVs, the predominant use of black, white and silver, a few of the sets and the overall opulent vibe of *Super Lady* is reminiscent of I AM THE BEST by 2NE1. The song is so T-ARA of course, but just like you mentioned it also sounds very much like 2010's Britney Spears. Even the lyrics of Wife reminds me of the boldness of songs like "Warm Hole" by Brown Eyed Girls. IDLE has finally achieved a comfortable and respected place in the industry, but instead of just trying to recreate the hits that brought them here or stick to the genres that most people like from them, they keep taking on new challenges and push the boundaries little by little. @@emanymton713 Idk about all song averages, but the vast majority of IDLE songs before Queencard are 3+ minutes, but after Queencard a ton of their songs are 2.30-40 instead, meaning we do lose quite a lot of time compared to their older stuff.

I started listening kpop in 2009 but I used to listen to songs released before 2009 so I could understood what is kpop. Each generation, era, I don't know how to call it, the songs feel more empty and I remember in 2017 someone told me this is the case in kpop particularly because fandoms care too much about breaking records they need time to achieve it and that's not possible if the MV (For YT) is too long and the song is long too (Spotify, Melon, etc) and I think this makes sense. My point of view: kpop fans like to spend their time on Tik Tok and they have a time span of attention so short that you have to catch their attention in 2-3 seconds. I don't like Tik Tok for this reason. I'm old, I'm 26 I like 1 hour and 2 hour videos. I like long songs too but we are living in a world where time span of attention consists of seconds.

My theory is: According to some people since this is their 5th year anniversary, this song has many throwbacks to their previous comebacks. Soyeon's scorpion (HANN), Minnie's shield (LION or it could be the AEGIS SHIELD which was used to kill medusa), shuhua's cake (TOMBOY - Soyeon's infamous rap scene) and Miyeon's scene is extremely similar to the one in OH MY GOD. Also, Soyeon also mentions I NEVER DIE in the lyrics. The statue on which soyeon is standing during her rap part is probably ATHENA (a very famous goddess in Greek mythology and the on ewho gave the aegis shield). Soyeon on a scorpion Hann when she was stung by a scorpion but now she is seating on it. Kind of telling that she has conquered it. Then my interpretation of Minnie is Medusa with the snakes and all. That's why the statue = a person turn to stone. I think this MV based on all of the characters that has been claimed as a villain but when We look at their on story, it actually the person around them are the one who made them like that. So they fight back stronger. Which relates to Yuqi's character as Cruella 2021.

wife to me was them just having fun and being cute, but also slipping in a message in a cute and fun way. the song is a total bop to me that's for sure and so danceable as well. the second song is just simple brilliant to hear and to watch, the ladies are amazing looking, fierce, showing the world they are the queens of their generation. I really like wife, it feels like a very free MV (meaning it looked like they had fun making it) while super lady looked like they were overworked. Tbf Wife sounds more fun and goofy while super lady just came and made everyone shocked. The problem that I think about this is that super lady has a lack luster of a chorus.
