This should either be a full blown TV show or a major movie production. I love this series and I wish it was book too.

Why do I feel like I have missed a lot of the story? For instance, how did they get to the house that they are in? I don't know why, but I feel like I'm missing something. Is this how it's supposed to be?

Science is the study of how stuff affects other stuff. If something influences us (i.e. miracles) its effects can be measured. Explanations can be given. And tests can be performed to systematically eliminate or support certain explanations. If we do not understand something, that is a statement about us, not an inherent property of the "mystery". There have in fact, been tests done on the efficacy of prayer. Most religious people just don't talk about them. I'll let you guess why.

To those who complain about the episodes being short: WEB SERIES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE SHORT! They're supposed to be bite-size pieces of awesome for the low attention span web viewers that we are. If they were longer, there would be complaints about it being too long. Expand your web series horizons to beyond H+. They don't get much longer than 15 minutes, and those are the loooooong ones!

Absolutely, I know a lot of people will eat up the supernatural stuff and love it (actually, it's almost guaranteed to improve viewer numbers which is probably why they are putting so much of it in) - but not me - it just irritates me.

Do remember that God is not religion. Religion is 'about' God, but it is not God. Many Christians have forgotten this.

As a geography major, I was disappointed by those maps. Nice topography, sure, but the maps had no relevance to what the characters were saying. They were pointing to dead zones, but those weren't indicated anywhere on the maps. Just a little constructive criticism, lol. Love the series!

Guys this Science and Religion debate has to end. Science is the meaning of what is out there and a simple explanation. Don't get me wrong I love science but I am also Religious. There are some things Science cant find out about miracles and other Gods goodness. I have been told not to take the Bible seriously because it is just written events, and other things written a long time ago when all people cared about was just, well just whatever God told them. That's all I'm saying.

You have to prove a miracle happened before you can test it. Science can only test the natural world, you'd have to prove the supernatural exists first.

Why does the universe need to be created? Isn't it possible that the universe has always been? Also, there may be an aspect of reality that causes universes to occasionally happen spontaneously. Check out Krauss's "A universe from from Nothing". For a physicists view on this.

Sometimes it costs to create. :) I like everything about this series besides the very short eps. with the intro and ending and ads.... its a bit much at times. Good episode. I really like the focus on faith. Especially the Catholic Faith. But.....I've got to say, after a calamity that wiped out 80% of the US population, I don't think wireless networks would still be functional. The power grid would have collapsed by now. Even distributed power, with local sources for each wireless, would be flaky, at best. That's only reliable as an alternate, not prime source. I would bet that, by now, only very limited base stations would be functional, at best

hey guys , just enjoy watching the show, who cares what ur personal views are .... anyhow , science and religion can co exist , no matter if u beleive it or not . religion is much like a philosophy , it explain the WHY ... science explains the HOW ... the sad story in that is that often people mix them together...... u can ponder about that . now going back to the show .

Why does grass sway in a breeze? Wind. How, well that can be explained by velocities, mass, resistances, friction, densities, temperature, pressure, land forms and water masses, earths rotational speed and direction, the Coriolis effect, etc. If you asked the people of the Christian bible they'd say Pneuma. They literally believed air was a divine spirit. They couldn't comprehend something you couldn't see or hold, so it must be supernatural, not natural.

And yet claiming that science has all the answers is also "an argument from ignorance." Science nor religion answers every question. Science just gives you an answer to something as the truth until something proves it wrong or backs it up. Even to something that can not be fully tested.

Thanks for your concern, but I parted ways with Catholicism shortly after my first communion. Young as I was, I realised it was a load of superstitious gobildygook and meaningless traditions even back then. Fact is I'm not capable of believing in God - if there is a God then he made me this way so it's his own fault. I'd say Helena & Constantine's dedication to spreading Christianity that converted the Roman empire - hardly unique in history. In my opinion, Religion is obsolete.

What possible definition of religion doesn't carry with it that connotation? So far as I know, all religion is by definition based around faith.And faith is belief without evidence. Seriously, if you know a definition of religion that doesn't even mention faith, I'd like to hear it.

I am very sorry for that, that is not the real Faith, there have been so many terrible abuses in the Church the past 50 years ago, which caused so many people to fall away. It isn't always like that, there are very good, faithful communities where the Spirit is alive and the life-changing glory that is Christianity is a reality for many people. Do you really think a "sense of community" converted the Roman Empire? Do you really think "science" and religion have to be hostile? I find such silly

and yet here you are using unverifiable speculation claiming that religion is ignorant. a century or two ago scientists and the church agreed that the world was flat, and a christian scientist proved them wrong. My point is that you can not claim that either side is ignorant until an answer is available either way.

This series started off interesting & had cool philosophical ideas but now it's just agrivatingly jumbled & untimely. Breaking up the releases into two "episodes" is pointless & the only thing that accomplishes is adding an additional comercial. It would make sense for a time limit but as the series progresses the episodes get shorter. On top of that the anachronism makes the short clips seem incoherent & waiting a week not to have last weeks questions answered is unsatisfactory. DON'T WATCH H+

And yet science also makes claims that are not easy to test or impossible to test. Things that we do not even know the conditions in witch they happened, and may never know. Yet this is overlooked because the other option is believing in what a religion claims. And let me ask you this. What if things in some religion was proven by a scientist of that religion, would it be looked into or over looked?
@ReaLMoisan
@ReaLMoisan Жыл бұрын
Science makes no claims without testing it. Such a thing would be called a hypothesis at best, and far removed from a claim (also, define "claim"). Science requires a repeatable outcome with predictive properties. Of course science is peer reviewed, and an alarming amount of time and effort goes into peer reviews. AIG (Answers in Genesis) have their own "scientists" that have published papers (never peer reviewed or printed in credible publications) and made claims. On peer review, they're utterly decimated by experts in their fields of study who destroy their manipulated and sometimes outright falsified claims with mountains of evidence to support their position.

Sorry you feel that way, you say you are ex-Catholic, I would imagine you got a bad taste of religion because of a lousy priest/parish/school which are all too common in the Church today. I used to be like you, areligious, but I am a 100% totally committed Catholic converted and radically changed by a miracle of Grace. I am sorry you don't see that, your statement regarding community makes me think you were exposed to liberal, worldly Catholicism that seemed pointless to you, so you left.

But when science claims something that differs from a scientific law then what are you to do. All that I'm trying to say is that science does not have every answer and neither does religion. And before you jump all over me answer these. How does science say the universe created? What does the Law of Conservation of Mass and the Law of Conservation of Energy say?

OKAY THAT IS ENOUGH! I'm done, no more, I am sick of the religious connotations taking more and more prominence in these videos. What's going to happen next is God going to be the one who caused this and the people with the things in their arms his new disciples? I'm done. Was all of this predestined? This show has moved SO far away from the original ideas in my opinion.

This show is getting boring.. it's not moving anywhere... it's built up like a movie more than a show. A show has a constant progression and plot this skips from time to time over and over again... they leave out so much stuff... This is what I hate about american tv, I am born in the USA but I hate our tv, japanese anime, and british tv shows have more cleaner progression it becomes addicting...
