Now the topic is about H.I.V. and Aids. Back in the 80s, virtually unknown and now in the 21st century, still in the media. There is Corona along with all the drama and chaos going on; plus H.I.V. still around! Im sorry for what happened to You're family. Today HIV is not a death sentence. The medicine (if taken correctly) will stop HIV in its tracks making it undetectable in the blood and impossible to pass on to anyone else. If You have a partner with HIV and You are HIV negative, there is a medication called "PREP" that stops an uninfected person from catching HIV from their infected partner. People live full and productive lives these day's, even if they are HIV positive. The medications available really are life Saving. People with HIV can live a totally normal life. The stigma of HIV still kills more people than HIV does, as people are scared to go get tested, then if their HIV positive they feel like their going to die anyway so why go for treatment. We need to stop that stigma about HIV. HIV is Not a "death sentence " anymore Again I'm so sorry about You're Families losses 💚🕯

My son is HIV positive. He's only 28 and has been positive since age 18 . He refuses to take medication and uses meth to hide his pain and shame. I hope he wises up like Armondo did. My son is very regretful as well. HIV doesn't have to be a death sentence if you take medication you can live a long normal life. Bless these guys.

@@SoftWhiteUnderbelly It's ok, it is a common mistake. I still see HIV/AIDS written in books and on medical websites. I think that's why some get confused, which is understandable. It is very complicated doing patient teaching on it and I was very confused when I had to learn about it. Took me awhile to understand the difference. Not everyone who catches HIV develops AIDS. The CD4 cell count drops from 1500 to 500-200 mm^3 over 10-15 years after infection. Once the cell count drops below 500, opportunistic infections occur and that's what makes it dangerous. If antiviral agents are taken right away, it may prevent it from progressing to AIDS. Unfortunately, these medications can be very expensive. It's really sad. Prevention is so important.

You absolutely should stabilize your health. HIV is no longer a “death sentence” and you could for sure start dating, you could date now though too. I know I can speak for myself when I say that I could absolutely be partnered to someone with managed HIV. It doesn’t change who you are as an amazing individual. And there are plenty of people out there that believe the same as I. Unfortunately there will be people to think badly of you, but it’s just because they lack knowledge on the matter. So when that happens don’t pity yourself, instead give sympathy for their loss on knowing you based off their fears as that is a problem for them, not a personal problem for you. Xoxo

"These kinds of people"? The dude caught a virus. Would you say "these kind of people" in regards to a person who contracted Covid-19? You do know that if you're kissing someone or having sex with someone with Covid-19 you can also be infected? Viruses are not the arbitrator of morals or ethics. Babies catch colds from their mothers and die of respiratory failure all the time. Is a baby one of "these kinds of people"? Please point to where in the Bible Jesus ever said that people who catch viruses enter heaven first. I won't wait, because I know the Bible does not say that. Be careful with your words. They show your bias.
