That was really good, Tess chan! Funny as heck! The Japanese guy was trying to interpret the language "sound" as best as he could, which made the struggle hilarious. I don't think we know how tough that is to do until we try...
Brain is searching for close pronunciation and sound of mother tongue. So, It’s natural to react like him unless he doesn’t understand basic grammar and word meaning.
てすさん、きょうのビデオをたのしませていただきました!(^^)! FYI, the latter part of these games are also very funny. The guy called Murakami-kun is always breaking games in very fun way. このゲームの後半もめっちゃおもしろいですよ!(^^)! おすすめします(^^)v
笑ったね。日本語で意味は違くても英語に通じるんだね、”堀った芋いじるな”を思い出した。What time is it now?です。

I've never had an experience of soーcalled ' soramimi awa-' when working on English listening practice. It is wellーknown that phenomena such as liaison or reduction occur when native speakers speak English. So, when I hear them talking, I consciously make my utmost efforts to try to pick up as many English words as possible from the seemingly successive sound streams. Maybe that's the reason why I'm far from falling for 'soramimi awa-' I'm such a studious English learner. ha ha
