CP and Prince V have great chemistry. That farewell scene in the courtyard between them was so touching. It's like their enmity dropped off and they spoke as brothers trapped under a scheming dad. Then by the end of the talk they were back to being enemies.

@@Sikhindu I am afraid not. But I am watching a relatively new Korean series Alchemy of Souls means very interesting. I recommend this one if you like fantasy movies.

The crown prince should not have a last word with his brother. What his brother said might linger in his thoughts and cause him to be depressed over his relationship with his father,the king His big mistake was being too loyal to the king,because of his deeply ingrained education about being loyal first to the country , which he equated it wrongly to being loyal to the king. That's why he said that when he becomes the king, he will do everything he can to become a good king and for his country to prosper. His error was overlooking his father's personality that whatever he does,as long as the father is still living, he can't achieve anything at all because the father is too greedy for power and can't let go his authority and give it to his crown prince. He should have chosen his uncle and should have led a revolt to let his father step down. And any more tragedy to come will be avoided.

King never gave CP a hope with all his politcal chess, so against CP and his mum and Gu families. King couldnt be thankful to Gu & CP & maid GU saving 6th prince - too busy guilty greedy to grab throne

看完大结局又回来了 男主虽然最后做了清流飞上青天 自由结果。但前面的那些付出和抉择 辛苦走到今天 最后的放手 确实有点突然， 只顾自己的父亲生性多疑， 无助的被夹在中间 做各种抗争。真心累。

Does anyone realize that 5th prince (dunno his real name) so much look a like with Liyitong? The face, mouths...i almost wonder whether they are siblings in real life? 😁 These 12 eps really explained the most important things, since i also not understand all of the story but i did realize it has many missing links while it ends. Such like while Wang Wen put on civil clothes on the street waiting for CP. And the HuangHou, and his maid, then i realized something not right when 5th Prince eating crabs at Prince Qi place, something up to him. Im glad i found these 12eps after read some comments at the 60 eps. So tortured and frustated at the same time when watching 60eps but im still watching these 12eps as well. 😁 cant get enough. This is the worst best politic drama ive ever watched. I thought The rise of Phoenixes was the best, but this?? No more words would be described how good this is. Even it is so much thing confused me while watching for the very 1st time. 😍😍 Love Luo Jin from Investiture of the Gods, WeiYoung, ZheYan (EL movie)

The emperor is getting some payback. Lost his evil queen and two evil sons and, sadly, his old and loyal eunuch. No wonder he can't sleep. Prince V's acts throughout are so despicable how can all of this have been left out of the earlier sixty episodes? I don't really understand what he told crown prince at the end before he was caned. He was intimating there will be lasting fall-out for the crown prince from his buddies?

@@jovang3882 I think he meant that though he is punished ( and dead) CP Is already fallen into his trap- his links with Li mingan to kill Eh Dehu and all will go on though he is dead- so that CP will not be able to be the king. Because when Wu Dehu Delhi is dead CP hasn't military power and the emperor can suppress CP easily

Because it doesn't star" idol-actors" or famous young actors. Some viewers watch only films that have their favorites star in it. I watch the acting and the plot of the film,unlike them. This series is in my top 5 Chinese dramas

Fewer people finished season one of this drama, so fewer ended up in season two. This show isn't for most people. I have found quite a number of such shows, always low viewership. The editing out season two to make season one 60 episodes only destroyed the original story. I wish we would have a director's cut where we got the full story in the order it was intended.
