Well explained Professor. I keep telling all my mates who are in the US and who want to come here that outside of a very narrow range of jobs, if you were born in India the chance that you can stay in the US permanently is extremely slim. It's just a fact and it won't change until the immigration law changes. If you really want to settle in the US, then you should aim to become a professor at a university or other research institute and not only that, make sure you are recognized as a world leading scientist in that field. Otherwise you will be at the back of a ten plus year queue. Expectations should be calibrated to avoid heartbreak.

The best way is to study in Canada, get citizenship and then work in US. Also during studies one can have entrepreneurial ventures in Canada which is tough in USA due to strict immigration rules.

@@ksg7882 Sourav is talking about the TN visa sponsorship that you can get with Canadian citizenship. TN visa is much easier to obtain compared to H1B visa and Initially, you can work and live in the US for 3 years, after which you can keep renewing the visa endlessly every year.

Best solution for H1 guys is to find a full time job with a company(no middle layer) , like Google, Amazon, BOFA, Morgan etc. These big companies will sponsor your GC and you will have more comfortable life coz you don't have to keep looking for job.

Dude are you kidding? You won't get GC in few years just because you're from FAANG companies The queue for Indian Born Nationals is ridiculously high, It will take atleast 20-25 years to get GC through employment route. Chances are that you may even retire and you won't get that GC too. This information is shared by one of my relatives who has been working for Intel since 2011.

Canada provides better future to International students. I did my Masters in CS at the University of British Columbia and I am a Canadian Citizen now. Canadian citizens can work in the USA on TN under NAFTA. I am working for a US company in Vancouver and in San Francisco. Also, We have free medical in Canada. My friends who went to USA in the same year are still on H1B and fighting for green card in the US. Also, Canadian citizens on TN in the USA are getting green card faster than H1B holders because green card issuance is unlimited for Canadian citizens. No Quota

Degree and chances of green card have no correlation .. only difference will be that you will be waiting in different queues. If Biden administration doesn’t pass the green card bill in next one year I would recommend all those American visa seeking Indians to look for other countries or plan to settle in india. India is progressing very well and most of the opportunities that Indians usually find in USA will be found in india.

Good content with crisp and clear information. Most of people who are coming on H1B doesn't understand the immigration challenges being stored here for them . Students also needs to understand the immigration situation here before deciding USA over any other countries for higher studies. US legal immigration system is broken particularly for people born in India.

You get it right later in the video, but children conceived in the US are not US Citizens because the 14th Amendment uses the words "BORN." Re. stopping EADs for H4 dependent spouses, the Biden Administration has withdrawn that rule as of January 26th, 2021, which is good news. Desi consultancies - The State department upon discovering any unlawful consultancy involvement revokes the student's F-1 visa. When that happens, one's student status remains intact, but the student must apply for a new F-1 (which is usually denied) anytime the student exits the US and wants to return.

Yeah bro! I love my country. But you have to accept the fact. ( I'm not leaving India but just saying the fact ) 1st thing - Education system If someone wants to become a Software Engineer in India. He have to clear JEE to get good colleges. Now let's speak the problem what is the relation between Computer Science and PCM ( JEE )? For a Software Engineer he should only know Discrete Mathematics and little bit High School Physics for Game development. That's it. 99% JEE Syllabus is useless for Computer Science. ( I'm taking computer Science here coz mos of the JEE aspirants wants CSE ) USA doesn't have entrance exam like JEE but still they have world's best programmers, Startup. And companies like Google, Apple, Microsoft etc... Because when students in India waste their time in JEE they Gain Practical Knowledge. And engineering syllabus is 40 years old. Lol P.S. I love my country but that doesn't mean I won't point out the flaws. Thank You.

This program is specifically designed & MOU have been signed between Indian & USA University. He'll get dual degrees from both the Indian n USA University. I would like to get ur opinion about this..? What will be the better option from, (01) 4 years Undergrads study from any good University of USA. ? Yes. That is because there is no numerical limit on green cards for spouses of US citizens and kids of US citizens under 21 years! (same rule for all countries). Usually, if a student quits school right after marrying the US Citizen, USCIS may accuse the student of marriage fraud and deny the green card application.
