One thing to add, if you’re documentarily complete, you don’t need to worry about your case being terminated by NVC.

Hi Jacob, and thanks for your very informative video! I understand you said the NVC or USCIS determined this year they will prioritize Immigration Visas. But they just released a bulletin saying their priority is for employment visas now. I made an expedited request last week to NVC, they confirmed they forwarded the request to the embassy in Abu Dhabi and the next day Abu Dhabi denied the request. PD Nov 30th 2020. I-130 Approved Sept 2021. It took two over years to get DQ in March 2024.

Why they cannot split in all separate countries? Actually when China and India are backlogged, ROW is backlogged too for EB2 NIW. It will be better for all that there are separate lists for each country.

All family petitioners should be arranged a campaign before USA election. Immigration reform and visa Cap increase. Without increase visa Cap family immigration never be fast. So move on for your family members.

Thank you for the information. I have a question regarding the processing timelines for F1 visa applications. Let's assume that USCIS has approved my I-130 petition and my case is now with the NVC in the F1 (first family preference) category. The current wait times for this category are around 11 years. However, I'm unsure if other country's visa backlog affects me. in my county(Somalia ) we don’t have visa backlogs. So, Even if there's no backlog in my country, would I still need to wait the full 11 years?

There is still going to be many 10s of thousands of fb visas wasted again this year. F4 is still projected to waste 22k. From May to September there needed to be 8k f4 visas handed out per month. That clearly didn’t happen. Any visa movement in the fb categories that happen after July 1st will probably not get an interview this fiscal year as it looks like 90 days now between visa bulletin and interview.

Good day! My husband was interviewed last year april 2023, but was not able to get his visa after the interview since during the interview his PD was not current which is July 15, 2021. But thankfully now, his PD was current on the June Visa Bulletin. He’s under F2a category. May i please know if he needs to have interview again? Or when he will be able to schedule one? He’s case is in US embassy manila, but until now we have not receive any further instruction even if the PD is current already. Also my husband was informed by someone at US embassy information during our daughter’s interview the following day after may husband’s interview, that the doesn’t need to have another interview anymore and what he only need to do is that once PD is current just mail the passport to the embassy in Manila with a letter attachment saying that his PD is now current.

Hi and thank you for the informative video. I have an approved I-130 since 2017 through marriage to a US citizen. However I needed to wait for the approval of waiver I601A because back in 2003 I came to the US with a K1 but never married and stayed in the US. Finally waiver was approved in January 2024 but NVC hasn’t say anything. Back in 2019 I received a welcome letter but now I’m kind of confused, should I receive another welcome letter, like what happens now? Thank you .

Hi all. I received an email from NVC on September 26, 2024, that I had submitted all of my documents and fees and that they were proceeding to schedule an appointment at the Warsaw embassy. My priority date is February 9, 2023 (as of September, the date in the bulletin is March 10, 2023). Any ideas on when my appointment might be? When my case (EB3 visa other workers) is DQ'd (July 2023) at NVC, and still waiting for the interview letter and Pd April 2022 , if I were to request changing interview place, then assuming the request is approved: 1) would my interview be still scheduled according to my original DQ time, or is my DQ time reset? 2) Would my place in the queue for the interview at the new CO be as if I had chosen that CO from the beginning? 3) Also, since the case is still at NVC, this transfer should happen rather quickly, right? like a few days after approval? (It's just a case number being changed?) Sorry if these are easy questions  but I couldn't find their answer on the NVC website. It makes sense to me that the DQ date shouldn't be reset, I just wanna make sure. Thanks a lot!

How is the NVC's interview scheduling organized for China (Guangzhou consulate) for non-Chinese-born and non-Chinese nationals applying for EB1A? Hi my CASe is F21 and my Pd is June 2021 got DQed march 2023 and never receive 60 days mail from nvc .. do i have to do something ? Because some of the case that I know , they already receive 60 days
