You will be able to pull deeper vacuums more quickly and efficiently with valve core removal tools, large diameter vacuum rated hoses, and not having a manifold gauge set in the vacuum setup.

Thanks that's a great option on large 7/8” or larger systems. This is a 1/4” - 3/8” line and the vacuum gauge lets me know when I'm good. I Always use a micron gauge so I know it's good.

You should use a CRT and a half inch hose. Connect your micron gage to the CRT and your pump. Your creating a ton of extra time using all them gages and long hose that's smaller in diameter. Shouldn't be using anything smaller then 1/2 when evacuating.

What about the refrigerant? How does that get added or does the unit contain refrigerant and you just open the port after you take the air out of the lines?

They come with refrigerant, however if your lines are longer then 100 feet you need to add gas using the DSB tool to determine the amount. Check out the DSB video.

Hi I uses kumo cloud having issues should i get the MHK2 themostat i have Rf condenser 48 BTU and 3 Ceiling cassettes and one wall unit the wall unit has remote others do not have and i primarily use kumo cloud . but sometimes have issues if i had a permanent thermostat i think it would be more reliable?

I am looking to install this unit at a house were we are gone for the winter, what happens when the temp falls below its operating temp say -20 degrees. Will the unit shut of and will it restart again? my alternative heat is electric baseboard.

They work down to -18 but that's the shut down temp. I always recommend you have an optional heat source that you can set a few degrees below the heat pump then the supplemental heat can turn on. However, the units will fire back up once they see heat in the morning. Typically you will see a shutdown @ night for only a few hours. We have 28 of the units in Craig Colorado they see negative -40 sometimes and the customer has never complained in 2 years. Get a Kumo cloud on the system then you can remotely see the system and run it. In the event of super low temps keep an eye on the weather and ramp the units up so they dump more heat in the home for cold stretches. Hope that helps Jared
