I think Ethan was the best thing that happen to Trisha. She needed someone that wouldn’t be afraid to call her on her shit but also emphasized and acknowledge why she acts the way she does. Dr. Drew needs to be a guest every 5 episodes so we can keep this podcast going! Trisha actually explained her issue so much better in this episode and why she was upset. She still needs a lot of therapy but I understand her feelings more. They both have an issue with saying “I wasn’t upset” or “I’m totally fine” when they really aren’t.

I feel like Dr. Drew was so dismissive of Ethan's feelings in this video. It's like he wouldn't allow Ethan to express his feelings to say how Trisha hurt him but rather would just cut him off mid-sentence and make an excuse for Trisha's actions. Meanwhile, Trisha got 5 minutes uninterrupted each time to flip Ethan's pov of the issue with full support from Dr. Drew. Just sucked not being able to hear Ethan's side of the story

@@DeeAnn97 yeah I know exactly she’s crazy that’s why Dr.Drew is treating her like taped together glass she’s about to break any second 24/7. Ethan never truly understood it but they needed to keep the show interesting so I understand that’s a hard rope to walk. Also he has a big ego Ethan that’s why he couldn’t take Dr.Drews jokes cause just like Trisha thought she was getting picked on he was doing it to him, there’s a podcast where Dr. Drew discusses the whole thing it’s really interesting because he got it down to a T the first 15 minutes of the podcast. I saw everybody saying how he’s ignoring Ethan‘s feelings it’s so wrong and they don’t understand he’s trying to understand Trisha while listening to what the problem is which is Ethan is bullying her but in reality Ethan is just joking, they both are two people with major egos who can’t handle massive criticism.

He knows what he’s doing and when you see a therapist worth there salt they cut through the bullshit unless you painfully sensitive which is what he’s know for. I do not like Trisha but she’s so fragile and clearly also an addict, Ethan is a stable person not saying he has no issues but he can handle it have you seen one episode of the show lmaooo. Drew knows what he’s doing and people seem to forget it worked it took 6 episodes for a crash and Ethan followed his advice and it worked for almost 30 episodes. Completely agree. I used to dislike Ethan but I’m really happy I was put my ego aside and took the L. I’ve learned about myself from this series and I think a lot of other commenters have too. I hope they ignore the hate comments, especially on IG/Twitter. They just *hate* on Trisha hard, but I understand why. I’m bias to her, I have high functioning BPD myself so I know exactly what she’s talking about when she starts crying. I know she feels terrible, her entire identity is shattered by the idea she’s an “abuser” because she herself has been heavily abused. I think if she comes to term with the fact that, “yes, I have been abusive, it’s inexcusable and I want to change my behaviour and help repair the things I’ve damaged.” That’s how I’ve been healing myself and healed my relationships/friendships. She deserves a redemption arc, but she has to be willing to do the work.

I’ve been in a relationship with someone with ptsd and there is a distinct difference between someone’s mental health and straight up domestic violence. And there is also a big issue mainly in low income households and stuff where there partner may be one of the few people in there support network. And if they get seen with as much as a bruise they’re not aloud to be around them for a set period of time. But now there’s this poor girl with ptsd scared of all the noises outside and now she’s lost one of her only supporters. Idk I know my opinion is very bias and dumb. But that’s my experience anyway

As someone with Borderline Personality Disorder this ep. was very cathartic for me. I very much identify with a lot of trisha's emotions and I totally understand why ethan sees her behaviors as attacks, but I think Dr. Drew did a really good job explaining the uncontrollable nature of BPD symptoms and how hard it is to see boundaries from trisha's perspective. Good job Doc! And to Trisha- Thank you for being so open about your mental health issues and the struggles they permit. You have really helped me feel like I'm not alone in my own path to symptom remission. It's easy to not show everything on the internet, but your openness reminds me that i'm not crazy, my suffering is valid, and even though this is a serious mental health issue, I'm not the only one. These conversations are so confusing. 1, a therapist isn’t supposed to have an opinion about your situation, but help you think about different perspectives and mindsets so you can fully understand a situation apart from personal feelings. 2, Ethans responsible for setting boundaries or withholding information from Trisha since they can’t differentiate but Trish is not responsible for respecting others as well? Ethan stopped a few times to apologize and let Trish know how important they are to him and his life but Trish never reciprocates with anything encouraging or positive to Ethan. None of this has to do with mental illness but more with respect and caring for their relationship. But going back to boundaries, it seems especially in the beginning Trish would just say anything they wanted about Ethan regardless of if they triggered him or made him uncomfortable and upset but there has to be a therapy session for Trish? Idk this all seems very one sided. This was an episode I avoided watching for a while because I don’t care for this environment on the internet.

I agree. And I'm glad they didn't get someone like Dr. Phil or one of the hacks. Dr. Drew gets lumped into those, but he's a legit doctor, focusing in psychology. I suggest people watch him on his YMH channel (That's definitely how Ethan got him on, since he's close friends with Tom Segura and Christina P, and Dr. Drew is on their channel) I think a lot of people's opinions changed after this, thankfully. They understand that Trisha isn't really doing this on purpose. I know a lot of people just like her, and over time after the apologies, you see it.

HOLY CRAP. This episode was intense. I've always liked Trisha and seen she was a good person and not what people made her out to be. But Trisha- you've finally got everyone else to at least UNDERSTAND your issues. You can clearly see in Ethan's reactions he didn't understand before and now he does. I really hope you guys can make a good friendship. I'm rootin' for you Trish. You deserve happiness. And you've been a rolemodel for a lot of girl/young women/ women who didn't really see anyone "real" in the media. I'm actually just so happy your and Ethan's relationship has led to this point of openness and honesty, that lets THE WORLD see Trisha as a person and not just the butt of a joke. Because there is loads of other people out there just like Trisha and we're all seeking some form of resolution for our past trauma.

This is exactly it. I always followed Trisha and felt this weird connection to her even though I didn't condone a lot of her actions. It's because I could relate to the feelings that drove them and the struggle of that dissociative state she goes to. I suffer with what is most likely, but not fully diagnosed as, BPD and I finally got on medication to manage it, but it took YEARS to reach that point - and that's without having my whole disordered life on display and the exasperated issues that must come with it. It makes me so happy to see a support system like Ethan and his family willing to be there instead of just playing into the circus that gravitates to her vulnerabilities.

This is an interesting thing that happens when people spend more time with individuals they believed was an 'other'. If one feels empathy with the other, suddenly there's a connection and a humanizing that happens. This can sometimes feel uncomfortable but it's excellent to practice and recognise. Others aren't really others, there's just a barrier somehow to understanding. This podcast started out as a dramatic goof and it's showing viewers who seem to me as if they'd not usually go out of their way to understand a polarizing personality that empathy is never far behind interactions like this.

@@nikkiellery759 just curious, what do you mean exactly by 'other'? My opinion of her mainly changed because I realized she was actually a very genuine person rather than deceptive. Her initial introduction to h3h3 podcast and a lot of people was her transgender video which literally made no sense and came across extremely insensitive, also it seemed to take advantage of a good cause(transgender awareness) and using it for monetary gain by making up a bullshit story about herself. However, when more information came out and she LITERALLY dated a gay guy and pegged him and that's part of who she is, like for one I was surprised but I could immediately validate why she made that weird video and wasnt acting. Also I thought she was a bitch because of the drama with nickacado avacado, but since then I can see why she ignored him, the nature of their interaction seemed creepy, but she might still be in the wrong there because he was a fan and she agreed to meet up with him allegedly. I do t think I ever saw Trisha as 'other' I just thought she was a mean lying bitch who only looked presentable with a cake of makeup on so I picked on her for that, but that's super mean of me, but I dont mean that lol especially not anymore, I was throwing hate at hate, not a good habit though.

As someone who has been a loooong time follower of Trish, I feel like it’s easier to tell when she’s trolling or hyperfocused on something versus being genuine. Just like SOME OF those homeless people who don’t actually want help. They don’t actually care. Benefit off of it more than anything. Being on the internet damaged her even more but she’d completely lose her shit if she lost her platform that she made so much money exploiting of off. Dr Drew: Domestic violence? That's understandable, I'm glad you're working on it. You don't want Ethan to bring your abusive behavior to light? Also understandable, what abuser wants that. I understand where you’re coming from but do you have any idea what your actually talking about? People with mental illnesses can act abusive. Have you done ANY research on the borderline personality? Trisha doesn’t deserve to be labeled as an abuser when shes (most likely) dealing with borderline rage which is a very difficult thing to navigate and can cause you to do things during episodes that you would never normally do. Its a rare case in which both people can be the victim. Trish is dealing with a mental illness thats almost impossible to manage. Shes in therapy. She admitted it was wrong. Im sure she apologized. She is very obviously ashamed. She, at least at this point, is trying to do better and get a grip. There is not a lot more she could do. She cant just “stop.” Hopefully that all makes sense. Sincerely, Someone with Borderline Personality disorder.

not saying she deserves to be shot for it, but borderline and narcisism and stuff like that is not an "act like an asshole for free"-card. Its still her own responsibility and most definitely allowed to be able to lable her as an abuser. I mean, what you say just makes you look like an enabler, and someone who allows people who have it rough to just be an asshole
@firstnamelastname9051
@firstnamelastname9051 10 ай бұрын
@@bas_ee enabler and having understanding for a whole PERSONALITY disorder are two different things. Hitting someone one time does not make anyone abuser especially if they do that mid borderline episode. Trish apologized, agreed it was wrong, and it working to improve it. It seems to really fuck her up inside that she hurt her partner. You dont seem to know anything about borderline. People during episodes act accordingly. It is still our responsibility to be held accountable but calling trish an abuser is not holding her accountable 😂 speaking from personal experience its more likely to drive us into deeper into our illnesses and make us sicker. And therefore our episodes more explosive. Being mean does not help the mental illness sufferer. You can hold someone accountable without calling them an abuser and a terrible person. Not everything has to be about Trisha, he’s “supposed” to be a mediator but instead he’s just kissing her ass while gaslighting Ethan making him feel like he was in the wrong for being worried about his brother. Like if my brother in law was in a relationship with someone like Trisha I’d be extremely concerned especially when she turned physical. The whole white or red out he was talking about is such a cop out response to Trisha being an absolute monster. Like she is so controlling and manipulative over Moses and she is so open about it! I been saying this forever, Trisha brings very important subjects in this platform for years and she has a really good heart, she just trolls sometimes and uses her trolling to get a reaction of people and im not excusing her bad behaviour just sharing my two cents from a long time trish fan.

I know I shouldn’t start a sentence with “you” but fuck it I’m gonna say it: Trisha, YOU PUT YOUR HANDS ON MOSES WHICH IS UNACCEPTABLE, it’s not Ethans fault that you beat on your fiancé, all he’s doing is calling you out on what you done. THERE!!! I SAID IT!!! SUE ME!!!!

Love this energy lol When Ethan asked whether he should be worried because Trisha hit Moses before, and Dr. Drew told him “he’s a grown man, it’s none of your business” I couldn’t believe that advice was coming from a therapist. Imagine if a women was being hit by her boyfriend, would Dr. Drew still say “she’s a grown women, it’s between them.” No. Domestic violence can happen to anyone.

@@melissasoliz9894 exactly, the double standard that you should never put your hands on a woman yet it’s okay to put your hands on a man, is just absolutely disgusting. Ethan has every right to be concerned and worried because that’s his brother in law.

@@LadyINTJOfficial exactly. If Trisha said Moses hit her and left bruises, you know Dr. drew would tell her she needs to get out of that relationship immediately and would probably call the police. But “Moses is a grown man. He can handle the abuse” pfffft

I think the fact that trisha admits to still being miserable after plastic surgery is very important information that should be spoken more of. Maybe plastic surgery should be the absolute last resort, AFTER you tried fixing your inner demons.

I felt that so hard! I wanted a nose job for over 10 years & always thought that after I got it I would feel so beautiful and feel like a whole new person. I finally got one & was just as insecure afterwards as I was before... plastic surgery will not fix an internal self esteem problem
@chloev9667

Tends to be the reason lots go back for more surgeries, once you fix one thing you find other things you want to fix. That's why a decent plastic sugeron does consultations beforehand to make sure people arent suffering body issues that will only get worse with surgery. It's really quite common for people not to be satisfied with their bodies after plastic surgery.
