I think Ethan is so wonderful with Trisha, people think she's a joke but I actually think she has had so much trauma as a human being a lot of people cannot be empathetic and it can be overwhelming. And I think Ethan doesn't see Trisha as a joke and is a very caring and thoughtful person, and because Trisha is actually smart and very interesting, she leans into a very wonderful open side of herself when they are together. I feel like this is really the most real I've seen Trish when speaking about her mental health and the whole DID thing. And I feel like I have more insight. She was literally trying not to cry when talking about having to be institutionalized. I can tell it was really real and traumatic for her and I think Ethan is right about how her impulsiveness makes her come off like she's not genuine. There's things she does that I don't always agree with but I feel like I actually understand her better after watching this.
