Fun fact: splashing somebody with water can be considered a form of assault in the UK. In 2015, a woman splashed her neighbor's children with water because they were making too much noise, and she had to pay a fine of £280. Granted, this was after the two neighbors had been feuding for some time and they called the police on each other on several occasions, so she was probably actually convicted of disturbing the peace.

+Dr Shaym I threw water on someone's arm/car who honked and cut me off while crossing the street. He parked/ambushed me and tried to beat me. They won't understand NOR even think about that a human did it, someone who's like us but is simply fucking stupid and mentally challenged. I have a question for you Jesus Christ, if humans didn't have this idea of religion, do you think no humans would make the same mistake of throwing acid at innocent people's face? When you really think about it, with or without religion, this shit would have happened, no matter for what reason, humans are sinners that killed, tortured and made people suffer for years, but never put the blame on themselves, because humans are hypocrite.

@anonymoose93226 жыл бұрын
I like Ethan and love to watch his content, but this video just showed a different side of him; he was stereotyping a lot. Ethan said so many factually incorrect things on this video. First of all, it's not Arab men throwing acid on people's faces, they're mostly gang-related. Secondly, Arya is not Arab, he's Persian/Iranian. Ethan was also mocking Arya's clothing and his accent (which is called 'Cockney'), while most of the youth there speak and dress like that. My point is that Cockneys are native to London, and Cockney is a native accent and it's not just exclusive to Arya. Ethan also presumed that Arya somehow knew the implications of throwing water (as inciting fear...), but if you watch that video and the other preceding parts of the same type of video (and his dozens of other videos where he did similar stupid stuff), you'll see no sign or indication of what Ethan presumed. Yes, what Arya was doing was definitely stupid and broke KZbin community guidelines, but Ethan went too far when he got mad and angry at him, started to literally bully him, and was going on about what would happen to him in the future.
@HerbsCoins6 жыл бұрын
Its not Arab men, its "Arab looking men" which basically means anyone who is dark with more Anglo-Saxon features, to most people. However, because a great deal of them get away, as many as 1/5, those who we do have stats for are mostly, I wanna say 2/5 or so of African/Caribbean descent. As people its natural to cluster a lot of an unfamiliar culture together because it all may seem the same, which is why to some westerners, Asians may all look alike, but to them perhaps we all look alike, etc. This is why sometimes you may see people bashing Muslims, but target sihks because of the cloth. Prejudice is wrong. Stereotypes are not necessarily wrong. If you wanna bash on Ethan, bash on him for being uninformed, not because of some buzzword you were taught back in school.

+Angelo Stevens Alongside statutory law (formed by legislatures) is the common law (formed by the courts). The common law tort of assault and battery need only require there be offensive conduct (e.g. simply flicking another's ear can still constitute battery). The USA is a common law jurisdiction and this tort is in that legal system (and alongside e.g. the UK and Australia). Maybe they're all draconian? I presume you think I'm only referring to "crimes punishable by the State" which is not what I was saying. You probably won't be punished by the State but you can most definitely get sued.

Let's take a closer look at Newham: "Newham has the youngest overall population and one of the lowest White British population in the country according to the 2011 census. The borough has the second highest percentage of Muslim in Britain after Tower Hamlets", which , coincidentally , is also in the top three.

Udyne What a piss poor attempt to play internet detective. Acid is an easily acquired weapon and is now in popular use by London criminals. The poorest areas of London have the highest crime rates (this is true of every country, even very homogeneous and white countries). In London, the poor areas have relatively higher non-white and immigrant populations. Got it Sherlock? What's this got to do with Arabs?

Well he is a Muslim or at least born into a muslim family and female genital mutilation (FGM) is an all too common Islamic practice where they cut a girl's clitoris off while they are young so they will never get to experience that type of pleasure, bc it's "un-Islamic". (It is illegal in the west but it's still wide-spread)
6 жыл бұрын
Female genital mutilation is an ancient practice where parts of a girl’s genitalia are removed in order to eliminate sexual desire and pleasure in a woman. It originated in pre-Islamic Africa and was referenced by the Greek geographer Strabo during a visit to Egypt around 25 BCE. The practice continued through the Christian era as well as the rise of Islam, and still continues today. UNICEF estimated in 2016 that over 200 million living today have undergone this procedure, mainly in Africa, but it has also been documented in Muslim countries such as Yemen and Indonesia. The fact that this practice continues 14 centuries after Islam entered these societies has made many conclude that it must be condoned by the religion. But in reality, female genital mutilation has no basis in the Qur’an and violates the clear teachings of Prophet Muhammad. In 2006, Islamic scholars led by the grand Sheikh of Al Azhar University, the highest scholarly authority in the Islamic world, declared that female genital mutilation is a violation of Islam’s teachings. And in 2008, the US Agency for International Development published an important paper on the issue, “De-linking Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting from Islam.” The authors, Ibrahim Lethome Asmani and Maryam Sheikh Abdi, lay out a very clear and straightforward analysis of Islamic teachings on the subject. While male circumcision has always been a part of Islam as it has Judaism (both religions linking the practice to their ancestor, the biblical patriarch Abraham), female circumcision is not found anywhere in the Qur’an. A very few hadiths, or oral accounts attributed to the Prophet, have been interpreted by some to suggest that female circumcision was accepted in the early Muslim community, but Islamic scholars have largely discounted such accounts as historically weak and unreliable. So the scriptural basis for such a practice in Islam is unsupported. But more importantly, the practice itself violates clear teachings of Islam that form the basis of its value system. Firstly, body mutilation is condemned in the Qur’an very clearly, not just in humans but also in animals. The Qur’an says that Satan will arouse in human beings an evil desire to mutilate God’s creation, quoting the Devil as saying: “Truly I will mislead them and surely arouse in them false desires and I will order them to slit the ears of cattle and indeed I will order them to change the nature created by God.” (4:119). But more directly to the issue of female genital mutilation, the practice violates the Prophet’s very clear teaching that women have the right to sexual fulfillment. Prophet Muhammad advised men: “When a man has sexual intercourse with his wife, he should be at the same pace with her. If he satisfies his desires before her, he should not withdraw until she has also satisfied herself.” Also, this whole throwing acid in peoples faces is something the British have always done, its not a result of the immigrants. It goes back to the victorian times. "Acid throwing dates to Victorian times, he added - and Britain is witnessing a “new phase” of the violent attacks." “We’ve had acid throwing in this country for over 200 years, and there’s been a new development of it,” said Dr Harding. “But it’s not new and it’s not imported.”

In London acid attacks aren’t feared, or viewed as acts of terror. People fear, moped gangs as they are prevalent in north London , in areas such as Islington and Wood Green (that’s where he is seen at the start of the video).Men and Women also use it against one another in domestic abuse cases or when rejected like shown in the video. It’s definitely not a terror problem but it is a massive thing that the KZbinr did. I know loads of young men and women that are put off from nights out because of the rise in acid attacks. Hey Ethan & Hila, This isn’t typical of a particular community within London, acid attacks are carried out by people of all ethnicities and ages. It has been particularly prominent in gang warfare and in revenge attacks; the occasional use of acid by religious maniacs is probably the least notable times it’s been used. Last year a guy did this in a nightclub, white guy, was going out with a reality TV star. This is inexcusable but is also very rarely done on religious grounds. More often random acts of violence, revenge or gang affiliation.

It’s not really a terrorist thing but besides that you have it right. It’s part of a bigger problem in London. Because of the strict anti gun laws in the uk, over 10000 stabbings have taken there place and acid attacks are an extension of that.
