From what I saw elsewhere, the CPU cooling heatsink on this box is undersized and doesn't have much thermal paste. Someone replaced the heatsink with a larger one with a fan. Apparently it streams much better now. Maybe something to try.

TV isn't smart (Sony Bravia TV that was meant to be Wireless LAN-ready but constant issues with connecting to the wifi with Sony's UWA-BR100 Wi-Fi Network Adapter) 2. Tired of constantly connecting my laptop to TV 3. wanting to watch KZbin & other videos via smartphone. What features should I look for? 2.5/5 G WiFI? Graphics? CPU cores? Rom and Ram? Mira/Chromecast to screen from smartphone? How important is the Android version?

@@streamingjunkie4397 unfortunately not. Only 420p on netflix but I'm not a huge netflix fan so it doesn't bother me that much. There are very few boxes out there with official certification from netflix: Nvidia Shield, Apple TC, Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV and Roku Ultra. That is it.

Xiaomi will be releasing a new stick in Europe very soon that also includes Google's certified Android TV OS, just like the Box S and will be price lower than the box

Easily upgradable to Android 10.. no more hickups after i updated the firmware to 10 and i had no problems what so ever after that and a lot more settings gained as well

That box was doing something in the background from the very start. See how slow does the highlight move from icon to icon on the home screen? This is exactly what happens when it's updating its firmware or the apps. It behaved like 1 core 1 ghz 1 gb ram unit. It just can't be with its specs.

decent review to the point! , I have it and it sucks, it gets stuck all the time when I'm using a tv app called "partner tv" here in Israel. also, the Netflix resolution is so poor that you don't want to watch anymore. also, searching for a new tv show on this Netflix is a hassle so inconvenient. I don't get how so many people on AliExpress wrote that this box is a good one.

Hi, thanks for the help and saving my money, but my question is: Is there a box out there that is not only 4K compatible, but also 4k CAPABLE? Or are they all the same junk. Is the only solution a new TV? I am looking for a TV box as a solution to the fact that my “smart TV” can’t adjust brightness and contrast when in Netflix and HBO GO. It’s very annoying because the level of the “black” in much higher than when in TV mode.

On my c9 I notice in dolby vision when watching say star wars or sky at night etc. The black bars are inky black. But the sky is grey, to match the bars I have to drop the brightness down to 48 to get inky black sky. Is it because of streaming or should I not touch brightness. 🤔

If it makes it look better then adjust away mate. I found that i had to adjust the brightness a bit for content on my external 4K Apple TV box,knocking it down a little made a world of difference.
