Now that is how it’s done! Said it before and I’ll say it again: you want a perfume review robes08 is pro style. Thanks for all you do! I’ll check this one out. Most of PDM does not tickle my nose. The Layton Hype train went right by me with out a second glance.

Black Agar Givco 215 is a mixture of methyl cedryl ketone. It is super cheap at under $150 a KG. Real Oud is $3,000 or more per KG depending on the region.

Great review, and pretty spot on. Felt it was a little light on my skin as well, but it lasted for quite a long time on the part of my shirt that I'd sprayed, I'd say 8-9 hours. Do wish it projected more, but as is, I actually do feel I can wear this to work, which is a plus.

I got Layton a couple days ago, it was my introduction to Parfums De Marly & niche brands on general. Can't even describe how perfect that scent is for me. Pegasus & Oajan next for me!

I was told by noses I trust that I should’ve purchased Habdan over Oajan. When I tested it recently…I guess I was thinking Habdan was supposed to be similar to Oajan from a gourmand standpoint. You nailed it…solid, good, not great, not gourmand enough.

I did like Habdan, but Oajan more but that one is more expensive to make and harder to find in stock. But a comparable now is brand new D&G The One Arabic exclusive which I smelt in duty free and was only $99. They have 2...brown and red. The red is closer to this with the rose and oud.

I like Habdan, just not the opening. Herod and Oajan are better imho. Definitely unique! Will help you stand out in a crowd. I notice you already did an initial impressions video on Herod, maybe you should do a full review of it. It's my favorite PdM.

Try herod the osmanthus really shines in that fragrance giving it an apricot feel with the Tobacco and spice. It almost dances with gourmand but then pulls back.

You can get PdM fragrances anywhere in Europe for around 230$ :)

I’m in the same boat as you Robes. I’m not the biggest fan of the brand, and a lot of their scents are meh to pretty good. I do own Habdan and really like it(again though I wish it had a bit more punch like you). We seem to have a similar taste in fragrances based off what I see in your reviews, so I suggest you check out Carlisle by Parfums De Marly. It’s my favorite scent by them so far. It was a Harrod’s exclusive till the beginning of this year. It’s an awesome sweet spicy slightly resinous scent.

Sounds like another pdm I can pass on. I like godolphin but prefer rasasi la yuquam, same with Herod i prefer other options like tv, 1821 man made, and even eau de baux. Thanks for the in depth take though bro.

I'l add to the "try Carlisle" comments too. I have sampled Pegasus, Herod, Oajan, Carlisle and Layton and I ended up buying Carlisle 125ml and Layton 75ml. I like Layton, but I love Carlisle. If Herod is putting your nose in a pouch of drier cinnamon spiced tobacco, Carlisle is like putting your nose in a honeyed moist tobacco. Lovely. It feels like if Mugler decided to make a $300 A*Men flanker this is what they would make :)

Love Habdan, also have Oajan, Layton & Herod (all great). Sampled Carlisle & would like a bottle, but its crazy expensive & wont buy unless the price drops (its good, but not that good). Struggle to find an interest in their other offerings though as there's better options out there.

Do not use Fragrance X because there shady! Believe me when i say that...I have had a lot of problems with them!
