I can say yes, as a designated marksman in my service, a m4 or 16a2 with a working acog, I was grouping about three inches at 300 m, when we received our new rifles, x95, the grouping increased to 4, 4.5 ish inch. The longer the barrel, the higher the velocity, the longer reach you have. Well timed, and shot placement is key, what I don't understand, is that I hit a person in VR with a 338 Lapua, and they don't die, but they shoot sporadically with all and head shot me or one shot my body every time, even with helmet and gear. A 5.7 mm round with the correct ammo eats lvl 3 a amour, but the game I think doesn't include those mechanics for "balancing" reasons.
@snikrepak2 жыл бұрын

The first thing for marksmanship is the 4 fundamentals: breathing, sight picture, body position, and trigger squeeze. Your breathing is vertically breaking up your grouping, while your squeeze is horizontally breaking it. Hold at the bottom or top of your breath, and slowly squeeze until the rifle decides to fire and you will have a much better group. Love, and old vet who loves VR.

@@bigPauliee definitely the shooting part because guns have weight in real life so they don't move nearly as much as they do in this game

Now hit a soda can at max distance on the Sniper Range in H3VR. :)

The longshot with the playing card at 500 meters isn’t done with the M4, but with a sniper rifle on a table. So its easier to hit but still difficult. The marksmanship with the m4 is just hitting a regular target from far away. Pretty plain and simple, but im not insulting your perserverance, good job.

"Aim with the hand, shoot with the mind, kill with a heart like arctic ice." That's the true essence of being a sniper: logically determining who needs to die to complete the mission.
