@cjgallagher52894 жыл бұрын
@@andyspooner5608 how is everything going? Hoarding is actually a mental disorder which is why it is so difficult for hoarders to get rid of things. My mother took at least ten years to convince her to allow us to donate all of the clothes that I had as a child as well as toys and even instruments that we don't need. The days we took to clear everything out she was sobbing non-stop :/ I hope things are going far more smooth for you!!

Sadia, I've just found your channel and I am enjoying it so much! I love how your calm, accepting demeanor and no-nonsense tips inspire me. Sometimes watching KZbin (or other media) can have the opposite effect... watching the beauty and ease with which life seems to come to others can make me feel overwhelmed and down instead of uplifted and inspired. You manage to uplift and inspire with your beautiful images and tone. Thank you for all your content on minimalism and NOURISHING ourselves, body and soul. I appreciate you, and I'm embarking on a journey of feeling better. Thank you for these gifts. -Leslie

I love the drop zone idea. I do something similar in the kitchen - I have a basket I take with me when I go grocery shopping and I put empty glass jars/paper, returnable bottles, empty batteries and such right in there so I never forget to take them with me when I leave the house to go to the supermarket.

I have kept a pretty basket in my hall for a long time. I call it the "donate basket." With three young children I find that there is always something that is outgrown or just not needed anymore, and I toss it in the basket until a trip to the donation thrift store happens. I loved seeing that you do this too, Sadia! Love your channel so much, and so excited for every new video! 💗

Great tips. A lot of which I do already, which means I'm on the right track. I cleaned out two small boxes of knick knacks I was saving and most are being donated. It also made me clean out my china hutch and rearrange and just keep those items that are sentimental to us. Thanks for another great video. xo

Just discovered your channel. It's funny because I already do everything you mentioned. It came instinctively to me. Some other things I do to keep my house clean and organized: I have a recycling area in my garage. The recycling service in my neighborhood only picks up carton/paper and plastic containers. So I have a box for clear/brown/blue-green glass, one for old fabric, one for batteries, expired medicine, electronics etc. Twice a year I do the round of the different recycling centers in my area that take these items for recycling.

Great tips. I need to meet a single woman who is a minimalist. I learned to be a minimalist the same way you did.
