Hi Diana - I am so thankful for you. You break scripture down so all can understand it. I lost my sweet Mama this past week. I have no doubts that she is in heaven with Jesus. She was a good christian woman and loved the Lord with all her heart. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done or will ever do. She was my Number 1, always has been and always will be. It’s just my Dad and me now. I am asking all that reads this message to please keep us in your prayers and that God will continue to bless us and give us strength and comfort in the days, weeks and months ahead. Thank you Diana for all you do for us. You are so appreciated. Hugs.

Diana, your message is so very powerful! As a professional Christian counselor for 30 years, I can tell you that the truth your words, God's words actually, is the key to healing and wholeness in life. It applies to everything from dealing with anxiety and depression to surviving abuse, abandonment, accidents and illnesses. It is also the way to overcome temptation and tragedy. Thank you for being God's instrument for delivering His truth to all who hear your message! May His blessings abound in your heart and your home!

Hi Ann, thank you so much for your thoughtful message, supportive feedback and for your ministry work! It’s greatly appreciated. Many blessings!
Amen!! This is so true! If we just ask the Lord to help us find the joy He will answer us! Recently I went through my own season of trials and I was having a hard time finding the joy and I just felt a nudging and asked the Lord to "help me find the joy because I can't find it". And a couple minutes later someone past by me and said something that helped me find the joy! God is so good and our thoughts are super important. I love that you mentioned meditation too because God says to meditate on his word night and day. I actually used to walk my kids through a meditation every night before bed that I like to call the "fruits of the spirit" but I have gotten out of the habit of it. I think this was a good reminder. Thank you. God bless you and your family!

I can tell you Diana, when first diagnosed with a chronic condition I would never have looked for the good. I was fighting the idea and having a very long pity-party over a condition that felt like a choke chain on my life. But eventually God revealed through this very disease I could find joy. I met amazingly beautiful, strong people and with prayer and trust, my life has been made sweeter, more precious and purposeful in helping others.

For the last 60 years, I grown up being taught to "look for the silver lining" in everything.....sometimes you see it, sometimes you don't but most times with patience you will find it. My mother still to this day reminds me to look for it. It's a lesson I've forwarded on to my children especially now that they have children of their own.

“What beliefs am I believing?” In the therapy world they talk about cognitive distortions-thoughts you embrace that aren’t true. My Christian therapist translated that into an exercise that really taught me the value of your question. She had me make two columns: Column One (What I Think), Column Two (What God’s Word Says). The contrast between my negative thoughts and what God says was pretty stark. Now I ask myself, “Whose report will you believe?”

God's word prunes us. I love how you said we hear the Word, retain it and persevere to cultivate it and yes, it's an intentional action on our part (daily). We have to cultivate our hearts and guard our hearts. ❤ This was such a beautiful message. Thank you for sharing this and all the awesome resources and links in your description.

I came to you through your sister’s youtube. Your way of sharing your faith and the word have been filling my cup n a tough time. Working in healthcare during a pandemic is tough but wondrous to see God at work. Add onto that an inner ear vertigo issue ( God giving me time to slow down) and a biopsy has been a journey. There is so much light if we can see it. Still waiting on biopsy results but part of the journey. Our kids and grands and strong marriage are life pleasures for sure. The blessing is being gifted with glass half full eyes that see the good. With love and thanks north of you in Canada cheering you on. Today nov. 7th we have no snow and were outside having a bonfire in sweatshirts!❤️🇨🇦

Thank you for explaining why a devotional is needed! Yes studying something tough in the bible doesn't always set me up with something positive to hold on to during the day. Ive been finding myself just reading John and not going back to the hard stuff recently because of this. Time to dig back in AKD utilize a devotional.

Love the change. I was thinking, originally, that adding “don’t criticize” to the “don’t complain” would be helpful. “Look for the good” covers it all.

1 Thes 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. No matter the situation, you can be thankful. Not because of the situation, but because of what we have and who we are in Christ. We’re sons of God! Not servants like those in the OT. How much more will our Father do for us! 🤸🏼

My big takeaways from this...guarding our hearts from the massive amount of info that's bombarding us daily, and being mindful of allowing pleasures to take over what could be directed towards God. Simple living totally helps for sure. I often have problems with the second takeaway, so really trying to work on that. Thank you for your insight once again 💗

You are an inspiration and I thank you. I am overwhelmed with worries about my adult daughter and all her problems and feel like I’m suffocating. I try to trust God and be patient for answers but struggle so much with trying to fix her problems. Obviously I am a control freak, at least as it concerns some of her life. Please pray for me to let go and let God. I’m to the point that maybe I need anxiety medication. Sometimes I’m just so disappointed in God.

I love your channel. It made me conect with Jesus daily again, not only on sundays. But will you please explain what words like "devotional books" are when you use them? English is not my language, and when you recomended them with your sister, I always thought it was thick, dificult text books with advanced language and content. Unusual words may be smart to explain. (Words not used all the time, everywhere.)

Diana, genuine question... you explained the soils very well, but the parable you read is about evangelism and salvation. How did you make the leap to thinking better thoughts? I hear all the time that context is king when studying the Bible and it seems you took this parable out of context to make your point (a good life principle, but still...).
