I always pray when I am doing chores like laundry, dishes, cleaning toilets, etc. I thank God that I have toilets to clean, water to use, clothes to wear, because so many people don’t.

Diana, thank you so much for this godly heartfelt tips. My husband had brain surgery almost 10 years ago and to help me refocus I took a notebook, wrote 1 Thesalonians 5:16-18 on the cover and proceeded daily to write in the date followed by three things I was grateful for. Recently following a knee replacement surgery I continued to used gratitude to distract me from the pain. It's such a blessing to see the positive messages from the Lord. 🙌 thanks again and continued prayers for you ministry.

Since last year during lockdown a number of ladies from our church started praying weekly via zoom on a Thursday evening. I have found my prayer life has grown so much and I find that prayer which had been a struggle is now quite a natural more frequent thing to do. I have found myself praying during treatments at the dentist and during a massage. Times when I would have just relaxed and tried to zone out, I have found sweet joy speaking with my heavenly Father and uplifting others in prayer.

My mother always used the bathroom as her prayer closet. She gave her heart to the Lord there in her early 30s and it made sense as the only place she had privacy from 4 kids!! As I share this I suddenly realize she also died in the bathroom. The Lord was so good to her throughout her life! It would not surprise me to know she was talking to him in her last moment here.

Yes My father had a heart attack in the bathroom, busted the wall and then hit his head on the tub. Paramedics drug him out and started work on him. He died at the hospital. We had just had a conversation about some celebrities son who also died in the bathroom. We both said to each other just days before, it really isn't uncommon. We spend alot of our lives in that little room. He had been in a tornado , numerous blizzards, hurricanes, but it happened in the bathroom. He used to read the word in there. And anyone who has kids, knows that that is one place you might get a quiet minute. Even then the sweethearts manage to knock. :)

Thanks for the encouragement in prayer, Diana! Over the last few years, I’ve started being much more intentional about praying Scripture, and it has been so helpful in gaining direction in my prayers. I often pray the fruit of the Spirit for my children and our family at night, taking one aspect (for example joy) each time, and focusing my prayer on that. I have much growing to do in prayer, but this one practice has been so beneficial and helpful. 💗

I find myself instinctively abiding in prayer, plus my am quiet times. I write my prayers and what God teaches in the Word in a journal. Then share with my prayer partners who agree in prayer. It’s a habit I look forward to.

When you spoke of blessing, my thoughts went to the song with Cody Carnes and Kari Jobe "The Blessing". It is such a powerful song to sing with others. We have sang it in church and WOW! The power and presence of God was unbelievable as we sang it over our family, our friends, our community. No matter when we sing it, its the same. I attended a wedding where the congregation sang it over the couple. I now pray it over my family often. Numbers 6:24-26 Great teaching Diana!

So many good reminders and tips on intentional prayers. I've been praying vague, distracted prayers over a certain issue I'm asking God for, and I haven't taken time out to really just talk to him and ask him what he wants me to learn in this time, and whether the answer I want is in line with his will. Thank you for helping me think that over. Also I've been praying for 15 years with the same group of ladies from different churches and life seasons and there's something amazing about coming together just for prayer and praying through the hardest and also the best of times!

I will be honest, I'm often scared to pray out loud in a group. I have no idea why because I have no trouble talking/praying to Jesus in front of kids or even when I'm alone, talking out loud. I think I have a fear of "messing up". Its ridiculous, I know. Thank you for being an encouragement & helping us to learn to pray. You're right, there is no "wrong" way to do it, other than maybe not praying at all.

What a wonderful video!! I will have to refer back to again, as there is so much helpful information. I would enjoy a video about teaching teens to pray. My daughters, and I'm sure many other children, don't have the maturity or confidence, in knowing how to pray. They avoid it because even having a simple conversation seems embarrassing or hard. After I posted earlier, I was reminded of another way to pray. When a news story touches my heart, I pray for those involved. I should pray for all the news, but I don't always think about it. Lately I've been praying for the fires on the west coast. During the reports, I pray, "Lord, please send rain. Have mercy!" We're getting a lot of the smoke here in Colorado and just looking out the window reminds me to pray.

The prayers I have spoken outloud (in my home) have amounted to God doing miracles in my life-compared to my prayers in head, which have been answered slowly and quietly. The Bible says that Satan is the "prince of the power of the air" in Ephesians 2:2. And even he must obey us when we speak the name of Jesus. Speaking prayers outloud will cast the devil out of your situation!

Hey! Love your faith encouragement and your sister’s guidance on minimalism. Please take this next comment only as if it’s coming from a friend interested in your journey. I would try a piece of art on the adjacent wall that’s in the frame of the camera and moving the one behind you to the right so that you are positioned between the plant and the painting. That will give you a field of depth - aka a more pleasing view. A soft up-light in the corner (in view or not) is worth considering. Take and toss this idea, just sharing my thoughts. I’m no pro but I’ve been studying this topic. May your channel be a blessing to God!
