Hacked files reveal Chinese “shoot-to-kill” policy in Uighur detention camps - BBC News

A huge collection of data including images linked to China’s mistreatment of Uighurs and other ethnic minorities has been handed to the BBC.
The information was hacked from Chinese police computers. It includes evidence of a shoot-to-kill policy for anyone trying to escape from so-called “re-education” camps in the western region of Xinjiang.
Over the past few years more than a million Uighurs are believed to have been detained in the camps and made to undertake forced labour.
China denies claims of torture and carrying out forced sterilisations and abortions. It says claims that Uighurs are being mistreated and made to undertake forced labour are “entirely fabricated”.

Having lived in mainland China for a few years, I can say that racism and xenophobia are huge problems there. Their ignorance and lack of tolerance for other races and cultures is astounding. Discrimination based on skin colour is rife in media, as well as degrading behaviour towards people due to nationality. One incident that I felt very angry about was when my friend had a stopover in Beijing airport, and they assigned a security guard to him the entire time simply because he's from the Middle East. Another time my Japanese friend visited and experienced hateful comments and stares. I wish I could be proud of my Chinese heritage, but attitudes like this are just primitive and disgusting.

well I've seen no evidence that China is committing crimes against its Muslim population , I've seen many Uighurs express support for the government in China so I'm not sure what to believe , Muslim nations have good relations with China so I see no reason why China would do something like this , I don't think China is committing human right violations , it seems unrealistic for China to be doing this while Muslim nations improve relations with it , so I don't think the report is true There was a delegation from Iran that went to China to see what was going on and they released a report that the Muslim population in China is treated with respect , they are given food and free water and given free education and free healthcare and free education and I don't support the Iranian government but there is no reason for Iran to lie or make a false report , Uighurs are also allowed to leave the country or travel to mainland China to find higher paying Jobs and they are allowed to live how they want and that is one of the reasons Muslim nations have good relations with China so based on all the facts , we can only conclude that there is no genocide in China , in fact its non-sense and its simply not true as far as I know
